10 offline strategies to grow digital business in Africa🌍
We´ve recently opened a new AngoCasa office in Cabinda. Our digital inclusion strategy requires a complementary offline strategy with boots on the ground.
Developing an offline strategy is essential for digital business growth in Africa, especially considering the unique challenges such as internet accessibility and digital literacy. Here are some strategies that can be effective:
1. Community Engagement: Building relationships with local communities can help in understanding their needs and preferences, which can inform the development of products and services.
2. Physical Presence: Establishing a physical presence through local stores or pop-up shops can increase brand visibility and allow customers to experience products firsthand.
3. Partnerships: Collaborating with local businesses and organizations can extend reach and tap into existing networks.
4. Events and Workshops: Hosting events and educational workshops can raise awareness about digital services and teach potential customers how to use them.
5. Traditional Marketing: Utilizing traditional marketing channels like radio, television, and print can effectively reach audiences that are not online.
6. Mobile Accessibility: Since mobile phone usage is widespread, SMS-based services and mobile money solutions can be powerful tools for engagement.
7. Word-of-Mouth: Encouraging word-of-mouth through excellent customer service and referral programs can be a potent marketing tool.
8. Data Collection: Gathering data through offline methods can help in tailoring online services to better meet the needs of the local population.
9. Local Talent: Hiring and training local talent can ensure that the business understands and meets the needs of the community.
10. Adaptation to Local Conditions: Tailoring products and services to the local context, including language and cultural considerations, can enhance acceptance and usage.
By combining these offline strategies with online efforts, digital businesses can create a comprehensive approach to growth in the African market. It's important to remain flexible and adapt strategies as the market evolves.

'Roro Jonggrang's Project' for me is a term that defines a project with an extremely tight due date schedule and pending targets that must be addressed. This photo is proof of my seriousness in assisting an NGO in continuing its existence, the continuity of its cooperation with the Indonesian government. Through this photo, I finally understood more about international cooperation within the scope of Indonesia, the achievements to the potential of each provincial region in Indonesia, even the ups and downs of INGOs in establishing a partnership. This photo also proves that remote work is the absence of an office chair but the presence of success. Finally, I can say,,, IT'S A WRAP!

🚀 Founding CEO Confluences | Tandem Venture Studio 📌 24 years of Business operations in Cambodia 🔗 Supported over 200 Corporations, Startups & Entrepreneurs in their market entry efforts
You can tell yourself you are on the right path when you can afford to go overseas for a few while and let your team run the operations. And this is exactly what happened at Confluences while I was scouting for new clients and projects in Vietnam.
⏭️ Our Operations team led by Helene Khlot, ACCA l Confluences Operations managed to close our yearly fiscal year and accounts on time for Confluences itself -and that's not an easy one with the new record on our numbers of operations- but also for several of our ventures.
⏭️ Our access team managed to schedule and managed concurrently almost 40 meetings in one week for two of our strategic partners - Sophie Besnard and Arthur Mossa you are key witnesses for the works of Borarangsey KORM l Confluences Access and Ponika THAI l Confluences Access 🙏
⏭️ In Siem Reap, our team - a one man job for now with Chris VARIN l Confluences - finally started the first construction steps of what will become our biggest project to date.
⏭️ Our Marcom department sent this morning our Newsletter in English and French to over 9000 contacts - and it's a first for quite a while that we are sending it right on time - well done Diada SAN l Confluences.
And I'm not even talking about our everyday routine with projects development and closing, staff and resident movement and onboarding, and many, MANY more.
2023 was a tough year, 2024 won't be easier but with new partners onboard and that team operating with great autonomy, I know I can focus on what I'm best at, bringing more projects and investments to the Mekong region, the Kingdom of Cambodia and Confluences 🇰🇭
Bring it on⚡
