Is #DTDC Delivery a Gamble with Your Urgent Needs? My Experience in India 😖 Disappointed! This is my horrible experience with DTDC India. I urgently needed an item delivered EXPRESS from Hyderabad to Nagpur on April 9th. Despite paying premium charges so that my parcel gets delivered to me in 1- 2 days , but it's being more than 6 days, and my package is nowhere near me! After tracking on the portal, it's showing my parcel was supposed to be delivered by April 12th (a past date), and today is April 15th. Here's the nightmare:😤 -Unreliable Tracking: My package inexplicably ended up in Mumbai and then Chattisgarh, instead of Nagpur. -Unresponsive Customer Support: Reached out via calls and emails✉️ since April 11th, but received no proper explanation for the delay, with calls sometimes getting disconnected. -No Proper Grievance Channel: DTDC lacks a system to escalate issues beyond their unhelpful customer support contact. This is beyond frustrating, especially considering DTDC's 30+ years in the market. Their service falls far short of what's expected today😠 Sharing my experience to see if others faced similar issues with DTDC. #DTDC, is this how you treat urgent deliveries? DTDC Express Limited I would like to share my recent disappointing experience with DTDC Courier Services. I’ve used their service twice, and both times, I encountered significant issues with customer service and delivery. On the first occasion, my "Blue Parcel," which is meant to be a fast delivery service, was delayed by 10 days and was not delivered to my correct address despite being in a serviceable area. The delivery person refused to deliver to my address, and I had to personally arrange a separate payment to receive the parcel. Given the premium rate for this service, I expected a higher level of professionalism and efficiency. On the second occasion, a parcel was shipped from Varanasi to Patna on January 25, 2025, but as of today, it still hasn't been delivered. Additionally, there was no direct contact provided for the delivery person, further complicating the resolution of the issue. Despite multiple tickets raised with customer support, no concrete solutions have been offered. This has led to a very frustrating and unsatisfactory experience with DTDC. DTDC Courier & Cargo Ltd. My consignment from Noida to Avadi has not been delivered to the receiver even though it has reached chennai on 10th Dec at 7.55am. The consignment number is Z39173349. I have also raised a complaint ticket 15643931 two days back. No reply from anyone as to why the package is sitting at Thiruverkadu branch of DTDC for the last three days. Is there any sabotage happening to the package to be delivered to a government agency !!!. The customer care is helpless as they are not equipped to give a committed reply. They just say they are escalating. Not able to give Thiruverkadu DTDC number also, so that I can contact to find out why the package is stuck at their office. What is happening ?? Why no reply to any of my complaints or escalation. I thought posting here is the only way to reach DTDC. Will it resolve my problem ?? #DTDC

In the early 2000s , the Tatas came up with massive investments in Tamil Nadu. Right from basic telecom services , internet , data center and cloud based apps , they were all set to build a digital infrastructure in Chennai - a beachhead for the strategically located southern city. The investment ran into crores of rupees. As the company started digging for laying a network of fiber optic cables , the ruling dispensation picked up the scent .Their rowing eyes fell on the loot.    Their efforts to stop the digging fell through as the Tatas known for following the rule book right down to the last word held their ground. The lawmakers didn’t stop at that . An emissary in spotless white appeared at their office and hinted at the percentage . The regional head explained to him he wasn’t the right man to talk to and put them on to the senior management at Mumbai.   The senior management replied that it was against the rules of the company to get into such transactions.   ‘In that case , you will not be allowed’ was the terse one liner from the powers to be . An issue with Pincode in DTDC Delivery System Today, I encountered an issue with my parcel shipment that was supposed to be delivered to Patna. However, due to an incorrect pincode, it was mistakenly routed to Bihta instead of my location. I reached out to the DTDC Support courier partner, and they were able to manually change the pincode to the correct one. However, the problem didn’t end there. The system didn’t update accordingly, which might be due to the lack of a code that handles pincode editing or a rollback feature in their system. This is something I believe DTDC should address in their codebase. Suggested Solution: DTDC’s system should be built to automatically handle such changes. Here’s a potential improvement: - When there is a change in the pincode in the database, a trigger or signal should be activated to check whether the pincode has been modified. - If the pincode is different, it should automatically rollback the parcel status to “IN TRANSIT” mode. - If only the address is updated but the destination pincode remains the same, the status should be rolled back to “AT DESTINATION”. By automating this process, it would reduce the risk of delivery errors and improve the overall customer experience. Hopefully, DTDC can consider this in future updates! --- What do you think?
