Providing age-appropriate online experiences is a key component of digital #trustandsafety. But each service’s uses differ, as do the expectations of its users, accordingly approaches to age assurance vary across services. A new DTSP report advances understanding of technical approaches to #ageassurance. It describes a range of best practices – specifically, five guiding principles for age assurance and three dozen examples of best practices in line with those principles. As required by European Union’s Digital Services Act, mandatory risk assessments are being conducted with questions arising about how to identify systemic risks.
