Providing age-appropriate online experiences is a key component of digital #trustandsafety. But each service’s uses differ, as do the expectations of its users, accordingly approaches to age assurance vary across services. A new DTSP report advances understanding of technical approaches to #ageassurance. It describes a range of best practices – specifically, five guiding principles for age assurance and three dozen examples of best practices in line with those principles. Recently in Brussels, DTSP and Global Network Initiative held the "European Rights & Risks: Stakeholder Engagement Forum." At the event, companies, civil society & academics convened to discuss systemic risk assessments as some companies conduct their second round of assessments under the Digital Services Act (DSA). The two co-hosts are publishing a high-level summary of key learnings and takeaways where topics of assessment methodologies, DSA enforcement and AI were discussed.
