Property Development Project - Thatch Cottage - Extension In order to preserve the Grade II listed cottage, the extension was independently built from the house. In order to give the area as much natural light as possible we used as much glass as we could. The flat roof featured a sky light and the openings were created by putting in aluminium bifold doors, and fixed windowpane from floor to ceiling. The extension increased the ground floor space by 50%. Here’s a sneak peek of what we’ve been up to lately 👉   This is a rear double- and single-storey extension project we were working on in Stocksbridge, Sheffield.   What did we do? 👇    The property was an existing bungalow, but due to the gradient in the client’s garden, we made a new lower ground floor level in the double and single storey. We then removed the existing roof and rebuilt a new roof over the property's old and new parts.     There’s no doubt about it: once we completed this structural package, the family gained much-needed extra space and added value to their property.
