This is the text I got last week from one of my clients, and I did a little internal happy dance. You see, the work myself and my team undertook for this client was honestly insane - not insane work, just insane intensity, with fast moving parts, changing priorities, and changing requests. In the space of a few days, the project increased from support to fill 4 roles, to filling 12 roles, and we: 🥲Completed phone screens with over 30 candidates 🥲Attempted contact with ~20 more 🥲Had the goal posts moved 🥲Reviewed over 300 applications 🥲Booked in pre-employment medicals 🥲Had the goal posts moved again 🥲Coordinated obtaining licences/identification/quals/police clearances 🥲Had new roles added / changed 🥲Addressed candidates withdrawing and challenges with pre-employment I am so incredibly proud of my team and grateful for their support to undertake this project, and to get positive feedback from the client to acknowledge all the hard work was just 🤌🏼 If you’re looking for support to fill multiple roles, to fill 1 role, to define a position before you even start hiring, I’ve got you covered! Slide into my DMs and let’s chat about how we can get you results 💪🏼 Ash ✨ #hireyourdreamteam #hiringsupport #recruitmentsupport #hiringpartner #recruitmentcollaboration #recruitmentpartner #recruitment #smallbusinessaustralia #womeninbusinessaustralia #careerpursuit #careerpursuithr

The time is now for hiring staff. Many schools may need to look abroad for highly qualified instructional personnel to fill positions. Here are a few things to remember to support international teachers transition to your school in the US. - International colleagues are education professionals who are eager to teach in your school and have teaching experience. - International colleagues bring a richness to their instruction that includes their language and culture. They just don’t drop their culture at the airport and immediately adapt to life and teaching in the US. - International staff need support to help them adjust to everything because everything will be new to them. - International new hires will need a support system at the school site and even through the hire agency. Consistent support supports retention. - Like many new teachers, it takes years to adjust to the new place, new colleagues, new curriculum, new expectations. Help these colleagues to embrace the change and provide guidance and grace along the way. Supporting international staff will add diversity to a school and help to broaden the horizons of the colleagues and the students.

#pleaseshare It has taken me a few days to gather my thoughts for this post, as I can hardly believe that I've followed through with my decision, shared at the start of the academic year, to step down. We are now actually seeking a new Chair for Ethos Academy Trust, and I already have FOMO! Those connected with me on here know how highly I regard the work of the Trust and how proud I am of its impact on our young people, thanks to our amazing staff. That part of the "pitch" is easy. However, explaining why one should be a trustee, or more perplexingly, why take on the role of Chair, is a bit more challenging. Over the years, I've met many prospective Trustees, and I'm always curious about their motivation to volunteer—giving up their time, reading countless papers, and sitting in meetings for hours. Surely, they get enough of that at work, right? Yet, their answer is usually a desire to give back, and I deeply admire this. However, reflecting on my eight years with Ethos Academy Trust, first on the management committee and then as Chair since the Trust's inception, I can honestly say that Ethos Academy Trust has given me far more than I could ever give in return. Maybe it starts with the desire to contribute, but at some point, the tables turn, and you find yourself benefitting immensely from the partnership. Indeed, the time commitment for this role can be considerable, and the responsibility to do it well for our children, young people, and staff is significant. But the rewards far outweigh the effort. I've been fortunate to grow into this role with the support of Jayne Foster. I'll be honest—it's tough, especially when it means so much to everyone involved and you're the one they look to for leadership. Jayne and I have certainly shared both laughter and tears during this journey, but I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone else. Now, as we enter a new phase in the Trust's journey, our top priority is ensuring robust strategic and operational leadership for what promises to be a busy time ahead! So, I ask—could that be you? Could you collaborate with the new CEO to drive the Trust forward, lead the Board, develop strategy, oversee the successful delivery of our up-and-coming growth projects, and continue transforming the lives of the young people within our Trust? If you believe it could be, I promise you will be part of something very special. Please feel free to drop me a message if you would like to discuss the role further. #governance #education #leadership #strategy #AP #SEND #inclusion #nurture #nonexec #kirklees #wakefield #rotherham #leeds #barnsley #sheffield
