John Napoli and Brian Jakovich were recently interviewed about the overall AI strategy at Guardian Life Insurance Company. In part, they're talking about a project I just finished to create one of the company's first production-ready generative AI applications. The project was a lot of fun as I got to write generative AI code using AWS Bedrock and other AWS cloud services. It turns out that 80% or more of all proof-of-concept (POC) generative AI projects never escape the POC phase. What was most exciting about this project was taking a POC all the way to production! The best part was that I got to mentor the team and left them with the knowledge and skills needed to continue building production-ready generative AI apps. #generativeai #dataengineering
