"States that move decisively to build new (energy sources) are going to be best positioned to take advantage of these (economic) opportunities."
Duke Energy's director of economic development, Andrew Tate, recently spoke with Axios about how the company is bringing jobs and investment to #NorthCarolina. Learn more: http://spr.ly/60439Aw9B

Our President Dr Katherine Woodthorpe AO FTSE told The Age that small modular reactors could be part of Australia’s future energy mix, but this is unlikely until a market is fully formed.
“Small modular reactors are not yet commercially available and there is no clear timeline as to when that will be.”
“They’re being looked at as part of our future energy needs and come the 2040s they can, no doubt, provide a potential part of the future constellation of technologies we’re going to require.”
“But today, with the problem we have – to decarbonise our economy as quickly as possible – they are not a viable part of that solution.” said Dr Woodthorpe.

North America can have clean energy independence if it has the wisdom to reject the 'renewable' monopoly that China has on wind/solar/EVs/heatpumps that are cheaper because they are built with coal, children in Africa and Russian oil and gas! The recipe for clean energy independence is not rocket science, north America is blessed with substantial oil and gas resources and new technology from the Nobel winning energy innovator Rodney Allam allows clean energy to be created from natural gas in the form of electricity from new clean energy startup of NET Power and clean hydrogen/ammonia from new startup 8RH2.
Additionally north America can benefit from the sharing of CANDU nuclear energy that is not dependent on Russian enriched uranium. For the last 50+ years the city of Toronto, ON, Canada has demonstrated how clean CANDU nuclear energy can be both reliable and inexpensive. CANDU can be shared right now with no new design needed and using SK uranium that frees north America from any reliance on either China or Russia!
Climate change is a global issue to be solved not a national political opportunity. North America has the energy resources to create its own clean energy destiny that is not dependent on either China or Russia! Why would any democratic nation leave the fate of the planet and our democratic economies to two communist regimes=China and Russia that doing their best to undermine democratic societies everywhere!
As Australia’s energy security shrinks away to the mediocrity of its political class in Caberra, the world’s energy demand booms on the take up of nuclear.

We all can be on board we want a clean environment. At the same time society has to think about the best, reliable energy source that can lift so many people up around the globe. If people are really serious about change, they have to step away from the continual bashing of nuclear media has portrayed it to be, dig deep into it, learn of what it can do ,and know exactly how not so dangerous it is. #nuclear#climate#energy
Our report on small modular reactors (SMRs) was featured in The Australian Financial Review. The article quoted our findings that SMRs will not be ready until at least the late 2040s, as they are still in the development phase. While they may hold potential for Australia’s future energy mix, in the interim, Australia needs to decarbonise the economy as soon as possible.

An exciting, much needed project, when the demand for safe reliable, base-load generation is forever increasing, especially in this era of multiplying demand for IA data center power.
Consider deploying this units to data center footprints to proclude the impact of the data center power consumption on other local area base-load users. 🤔
I expect that this project will have a profound, positive impact on the nuclear sector.
Yesterday’s Kings Speech saw the new Government set out its highly anticipated legislative agenda for the energy sector.
We welcome the commitment to establishing Great British Energy, the focus on installing critical national infrastructure and skills reform and the launch of the National Wealth Fund with its focus on priority sectors including green and growth industries.
We're looking forward to working with the Government to support its ambitions for clean, independent energy, and making progress on our £20bn plans for deploying our Xe-100 reactors and manufacturing TRISO-X fuel in the UK. Our intention is to start at Hartlepool, which you can read more about from our Vice President of Projects and UK Market Leader Carol Tansley in the Northern Echo today! - https://lnkd.in/eSF_-7UN#KingSpeech#Xenergy
