For many years BakerBrown has offered clients and design teams low carbon, sustainability and circular economy consultancy services in addition to architecture. More recently we have focussed on assisting clients that are interested in radically reducing the embodied carbon footprint of their developments. This takes the form of quantifying the potentials for reusing the previously overlooked, whether that is a whole building or neighbourhood, deconstructing for reuse instead of throwing away, or simply understanding the current and emerging legislation, subsidies, infrastructure and networks that can support an authentic and #JustTransition towards a #CircularEconomy. The team at BakerBrown has produced a series of infographics that try to explain the eight steps we tend to go through in order to "make your new place from your old place".
