On a mission to turn Credit Unions into future-proof FinTechs | CEO / Co-Founder at Clutch (CUSO serving Credit Unions)
So proud! Congratulations to the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues on 90 years of dedication and service to the credit union movement! 🎉 Your tireless efforts have not only supported Credit Unions in their mission but have also helped Credit Unions adapt and thrive in an ever-changing financial landscape. Clutch is proud and thankful for the collaboration with the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, aimed at bringing digital omni-channel onboarding solutions to Credit unions, enhancing the member experience, and driving growth. Given that California and Silicon Valley are at the heart of direct-to-consumer fintech innovation, the Leagues play a pivotal role in guiding Credit Unions to embrace new technologies. Here are six key insights from our latest whitepaper on digital onboarding: 📈 Only 15% of consumers who begin the process of joining Credit Unions actually complete it. 🌐 Digital transformation can significantly reduce loan origination and membership acquisition costs. 🚀 Credit Unions that have implemented a new digital strategy have seen substantial improvements in member engagement. 🔍 A consistent and frictionless application experience is crucial for attracting high-value members. 🛡️ Fraud prevention should be balanced with consumer experience to avoid deterring potential members. 🤝 Embracing technology is essential for Credit Unions to stay relevant and competitive. We deeply appreciate the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues for their unwavering commitment to the Credit Union community and their support in driving digital innovation. Together, we are committed to ensuring that Credit Unions remain the first choice for their members. Thank you for partnering with us on this exciting journey! #CreditUnions #DigitalTransformation #FinTech #Clutch #California #Nevada #Partnership #Innovation

No Credit Union Left Behind | Passionate Advocate for Financial Empowerment | Data and Research Geek | CU Lover for Life | Purpose Chaser | Changemaker
Seven months ago, I was on a quest to do more for small credit unions, in particular. I have always been an advocate for credit unions; so much so that for 1.5 years I went to work with a CU partner who also worked with banks. I missed spending 100% of my time working with credit unions so went in and "fired" myself (CEO was a friend.. :)) because my heart was really with credit unions. Fast forward 14 years and here we are in a period of more small credit union mergers, more De Novo credit unions trying to get chartered, a larger number of credit union CEOs retiring. Credit unions are such an integral part of the financial inclusion tapestry. So back to 7 months ago, I was ready to find a small group that had the same passion that I did. And poof, I was led to Denise Wymore, GSD, Nick Wodogaza, CUDE and Walter Merkle to begin this journey. We didn't have a set agenda; we just all had the heart and passion to ensure that small credit unions in particular could survive and thrive. This journey has ebbed and flowed in the months that passed. I have never felt more "alive" working in the credit union movement. I am in awe of the many of individuals and partners who all feel the same way. Slowly many of these people have come out with their banners waiving with the same theme...#NoCreditUnionLeftBehind." Our little group has expanded a bit but every step is a step forward. What this past 7 months has shown me is that you should never doubt the impact that one voice can have and then another, and another..... If you are a credit union evangelist, enthusiast, supporter, co-pilot...whatever banner you want to wear...shout it from the rooftops. Small credit unions need you, the credit union movement needs you, YOUR communities need you. I need you. Where is your voice? #nocreditunionleftbehind #noculeftbehind #creditunions #peoplehelpingpeople
Always fun when I can get together with fellow credit union evangelists supporting the needs of small credit unions! And they all got the memo to wear royal blue! SHIRLEY SENN, CUDE Nick Wodogaza, CUDE Richard Mohr, CUDE #peoplehelpingpeople

At the heart of every credit union is its mission to serve members and communities - but to achieve that mission, it needs to operate an efficient, effective business. Striking the right balance is difficult but according to Brent W. Rempe not impossible. We sat down to hear what he had to say. Oct. 17 is International Credit Union Day! The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement's history, promote its achievements, recognize hard work and share member experiences. International Credit Union (ICU) Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948. This year’s theme is “One World Through Cooperative Finance.” At a time in our history when we seem increasingly divided, credit unions bring people closer together through democratic, member-owned financial institutions that put people over profit. #ICUDay2024
