Improving the purity of extracellular vesicles by removing lipoproteins after size exclusion chromatography and ultracentrifugation: in their latest work, Cheng-Yu Chou, Andrew M. Wo at National Taiwan University and collaborators introduced LipoMin, an optimised magnetic bead reagent functionalised with glycosaminoglycans, offering a rapid and efficient alternative for lipoprotein removal in just 10 minutes during the second-step purification process https://lnkd.in/gBeMkYja ELISA results showed that LipoMin removes 98.2% of ApoB from SEC EV fractions, matching the LP removal efficiency of density gradient in the SEC + DG two-step process.
