We are happy to announce that we have issued with Service Specification DNV-SE-0674 "Verification and certification of power-to-x equipment" in December 2023 (https://lnkd.in/etDSqT5R). The first of three service documents based on the Joint Industry Project we have shared earlier (https://lnkd.in/ehvUG9Vi). Together with the industry, DNV works towards to: •       a 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 for the safety of PtX equipment, which is modular, internationally applicable and harmonized with the existing regulatory framework, serving as a foundation for manufacturers or asset owners and certification bodies. The current Directive 2006/42/EC will be replaced by Regulation (EU) 2023/1230. Harmonized Standards: EN 15194:2017+A1:2023 is published but not yet universally available. The last in a series of guidelines from CIMAC related to the release of the new ISO 8217:2024 marine fuels standard is yet another great example of the good work that CIMAC does. Get your copy & have a read!

As promised, #CIMAC WG 7 Fuels has now published one more guideline supporting ISO 8217:2024 called “Design and operation of fuel cleaning systems for diesel engines”. Dorthe M Sveistrup Jacobsen, MAN Energy Solutions comments on the new, updated guideline that replaces the 2005 version: “I’m really excited to see this publication finalized. It represents knowledge from all parts of the #marine #industry, and it will be so valuable for the industry. Now we all know what is required to clean the #fuel, and thereby support reliable ship operation. Thank you to CIMAC WG Fuels.” Timothy Wilson, Lloyd's Register adds: “This guidance document is a very useful update and valuable resource to any operating or design engineer seeking to refresh their understanding on the latest in applying best practices on this critical process of on-board fuel conditioning for which the cleaning of the fuel is paramount.” In total, 5 new guidelines on the new ISO have now been published by WG 7.
