📢 We are hiring! Please share. We are pleased to announce that applications for four Conservation Trainees are now open. Conservation Traineeships offer an exciting opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed for a career in conservation. Working with Durham Wildlife Trust and our partners, trainees are able to put their learning into practice while working to restore natural habitats and protect wildlife. We will be recruiting four trainees across two training programmes, details below. 👇 Conservation Trainees - Rainton Meadows and Low Barns: ❓ Assisting with the organisation and delivery of volunteer tasks in practical habitat management across our 53 nature reserves; gaining industry recognised qualifications to support a career in conservation, and developing general skills in UK conservation, ecology and natural history. 📝 12-month contract, 30 hours per week, salary of £18,720 per annum (paid monthly). 📍 One traineeship available at both Rainton Meadows and Low Barns Nature Reserves. Conservation Trainees - Links with Nature: ❓ Working within the Links with Nature project team and volunteers to support delivery of a significant programme of habitat management and access improvements across 13 Sunderland Council owned greenspaces; gaining industry recognised qualifications to support a career in conservation, and developing general skills in UK conservation, ecology and natural history. These positions are funded by the National Lottery Heritage Project and Sunderland Council. 📝 9-month contract, 22.5 hours per week, salary of £14,040 per annum (paid monthly). 📍 Two positions available, both based at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve.
