As the last few hours of 2024 come to a close here at Durst North America, we say good bye to a memorable year. With incredible moments such as the opening of our brand new headquarters and three trade shows run simultaneously, to growth and expansions such as new machine launches, new roles and new team members, and more customers reached than ever, we have a lot to reflect on and to celebrate as we enter 2025. We thank our customers, our partners, our team, and all of those who continue to support and cheer us on. Happy New Year to all. Cheers 🥂

Well, we're officially halfway through January and I haven't written a New Year's post. I realize that no one really cares about my “2024 update,” per se, but 2024 has been such a monumental year that I feel compelled to share a few insights. Over the past few years (2020–23), the churn of a global pandemic, several personal tragedies, and career changes had me feeling like I was barely treading water in life. This past year, however, truly turned things around for me and helped me clarify goals and priorities for the years ahead. If you happen to feel like you’re treading water, keep going and look for opportunities to follow new currents—you might just find fresh inspiration and productivity.🌊 With a heart full of gratitude, I want to highlight a few aspects that made 2024 shine for me: 1.) FAMILY: Chris and I worked hard to build the right support team to help our family overcome some challenges. I’m so grateful for his partnership and support throughout the year. Anyone who knows me well understands that’s not an easy task!🙃 2.) WORK: Work is such an essential part of the human experience, and this year, I was proud and inspired every day to be part of our incredible team at Camp4 Collective. The level of talent, professionalism, collaboration, and sheer grit everyone poured into our work was so motivating. I can’t wait to keep the momentum going in 2025. We’ve got a lot of exciting news and projects to share soon, so stay tuned!✨ 3.) HEALTH: This summer, I ran seven Wasatch Trail Series races and the Moab Trail Half Marathon. While I’ve always been a runner, competition has taken a backseat since becoming a mom. It felt amazing to set a consistent schedule of healthy challenges and fun.💨 I can’t wait to catapult into 2025 with more energy and purpose. I wish you all a wonderful year of hope, creativity, productivity, and joy. 🎉 https://lnkd.in/g-VhCT8H

Q4 just kicked off. Are you chasing only the big goals? Or pausing to celebrate the small victories along the way? We often overlook the little victories in the rush to hit year-end targets. But here’s the truth: small wins drive momentum. They matter just as much as the endgame. 🎯 Celebrating small wins boosts morale. 🎯 It builds confidence. 🎯 It fuels motivation to tackle bigger goals. Share your wins with your team and your network. It’s not just a pat on the back; it creates visibility and strengthens connections. Don’t let small wins inflate your ego. Stay grounded and keep your eyes on the long-term goals. Celebrating isn’t about getting complacent; It’s about staying energized. As we move through Q4, remember: Your journey is as important as the destination. What’s your latest win worth celebrating?

Gen Z, we're early in our careers, which means we have a world of opportunities. But we're only as good as our last success. The last big project that was a big win. The last presentation where you killed it. The last time you solved a huge problem saving everyone time. We shouldn't let ourselves lose motivation. Instead we should use our wins to move forward. I've been complacent. Patting myself on the back for a win that's months old. Not using that momentum. That's what you shouldn't do. Take what you've done and compound it. You can always do better. While still appreciating your wins and accomplishments. This means taking time to celebrate. And still looking towards the future. What was your last big win?

Hello friends, scientists and communicators! Here is a little #mondaymotivation for you all. At CSIRO Publishing I run so many workshops and very frequently hear participants say "my English isn't good enough for academic writing" or "I'm not confident with my English." I have a confession: Despite teaching writing for a living, good spelling and grammar don't come easily to me and I've had to put in the practice. In fact the post I'm sharing comes from someone who was extremely patient with my early academic writing efforts and personally inspires me. Dr Michael Seery shares a mural from their workplace at the Centre for Academic Language and Develop at the University of Bristol: "Academic Language is no one's mother tongue". I would like to add that no one is born a good writer - there are just people that have had more practice at it! I hope this inspires you today to put aside your worries about being a "good writer", sit down and write for 15 minutes and practice writing some words on a page. Come back and edit them later. #academicwriting #scientificwriting #peerreviewed #motivation #writinghabits #science
