Giulia Polli`s professional experience is truly inspiring and it is always great to see the passion she has for the marine business 🚢 🌊 💙 #ZFmarine #marine #women
Yesterday our colleague Giulia Polli shared insights into her career at ZF at the Women in Nautica conference in Zargreb, Croatia. Giulia started her journey with ZF in Italy in Padova after graduating University there. She worked in Singapore for a few years and is now based in Dubai, where she leads marine sales for the Middle East and South Asia regions. “WiN has been an important step towards inclusion, sustainability and showed once more marine community is willing to join forces to address the next challenges of maritime industry”, she said. At the conference, she shared her experiences, talked about cultural aspects and challenges as well as opportunities of working on three different continents in an industry that's not precisely known for its high number of women working there. Giulia shared stories about navigating dos and don’ts in business negotiation in different cultural contexts, and impressions from witnessing the rapid change cities like Dubai or Singapore have undergone in the past two decades. Great customer feedback on our ZF thruster 🥳😎😊
Across fells and fjords: ZF propulsion solutions on the majestic waters of Hvaler, Norway. Earlier this year, ZF equipped the ferry “MS TORINE” in Norway, operated by Norled AS, one of Norway’s largest ferry and express boat operators. Now the Chief Technology Officer of Norled AS is drawing a first conclusion: “Since the start of the operation of MS Torine we are very happy and satisfied with the operation of the two ZF ATL 10 WM-CR Contra Rotating Azimuth thrusters”, says Erlend Hovland, CTO at Norled AS, and adds: “The positive feedback from the shipyard during the vessel building period and the cooperation with ZF Marine Krimpen since the start of the operation of the vessel has been very good and cooperative. Norled will certainly consider ZF thrusters for future ferries.” #ZFMarine #NextGenPropulsion #Sustainability #Ferry

Discover the new hybrid transmission for waterjet vessels, ZF 3000 NRD PTI, as a digital exhibit based on augmented reality at ZF booth 219 in hall A3 at SMM Hamburg #marine #hybrid #SMM #ZFMarine #waterjet
ZF presents a new hybrid transmission for waterjet vessels. With the new ZF 3000 NRD PTI, ZF not only expands its expertise for maritime drives to another field of application, but also completes its portfolio and now provides solutions for all ship propulsion variants (FPP, CPP, waterjets). The ZF 3000 NRD PTI hybrid transmission is designed for the power range up to 1,940 kW. Thanks to its space- and weight-saving solution, it can realize hybrid propulsion in waterjet vessels. This enables low-noise and low-emission operation, such as in ports and bays. It also provides powerful support in situations where fast maneuvering is required. Get insights of the ZF propulsion in the new all-electric ferry reference "MS Torine" in Norway ⛴
ZF propulsion solutions inside the new fully electric ferry which will operate on the majestic waters of Hvaler, Norway. The “MS TORINE” is operated by Norled AS, one of Norway’s largest ferry and express boat operators, in the province of Ostfold in southeastern Norway. The ferry can transport up to 8 cars and 147 passengers and is named after Nilsine "Torine" Madsen, the first woman to be elected to Hvaler County Council in 1913. For this project, ZF delivered two ZF ATL 10 WM-CR Contra Rotating Azimuth thrusters to Sea Technology - Måløy Verft Norway, which designed and constructed the vessel. With innovative and sustainable propulsion solutions, ZF supports shipbuilders and fleet operators in reducing emissions, fuel consumption and operating costs. Fits right in: #ZF expands thruster portfolio with new AT 50 series. The new ZF AT 50 is suitable for a wider range of maritime vessels with power outputs of up to 815 kW. Thanks to a new gear design and casing, the new AT series is up to 17 percent more efficient than its predecessor and comparable market solutions. Further, the bollard pull of the thruster is 28 tons in a twin installation makes the ZF AT 50 particularly interesting for tugs, offshore support vessels, icebreakers, dredgers as well as salvage and rescue vessels. It is available as an L- or Z-drive and can be installed as a well-mounted, deck-mounted, stern-mounted as well as a tunnel or retractable thruster.
