🌟 Fantastic to listen to the winners of the Change Awards last week talk about their valuable experiences of Change within their own public sector organisations and careers to date - a really insightful conversation to listen to 🌟 There were literally loads but here are some of my Key takeaways from the discussion which my Tech Change and Change community on LinkedIn may find of interest and could resonate with - 💡 Know your audience - recognise when something is not working and move quickly 💡 Know what your ask is of senior leaders - clear asks pave for clear engagement 💡 When you work for an organisation, you are representing that organisation - you are not separate from it or the change in any way 💡 Use organisational values and human values to underpin the change 💡 You don't always need to be a disruptor - the spirit will get you some distance but tone of voice is equally important 💡 It's important to change from a cultural perspective, not just a project/programme perspective 💡 You need to get really good at reading the mood, even the most subtle changes 💡 You can't impose successful change - you need to appeal to people and bring people along with you by winning hearts and minds. when we talk about continuity in management and leadership we normally think about horizons of 5 years, maybe 10 years but normally not longer than 20 years. When I attended WIEHAG'S 175th anniversy recently I had to completely rethink and adjust my believes. If you do the research only 2% of all comapnies (in GER) can celebrate a 100th anniversary and then most of these companies have changed ownership or businesses. Not so at WIEHAG. Going strong under ownership and management of the founding family in the 5th and soon 6th generation. Also being loyal to the community where the business has been founded in 1849. No extended workbenches in low cost countries purely focusing of the talent pool and infrastructure in Upper Austria... You wonder what the ingredient for this success story is... certainly there are several but I in the end it comes down to company values ... Respect, Reliability, Connectivity, Enthusiam... at WIEHHAG everyone is a freak in timber engineering...and it shows if you look at the spectacular edifices the company has done over the last century around the world and the ones which will be coming out of the ground soon. WIEHAG, happy birthday again and looking forward to be part of the 200th anniversary also...BTW 3 of the 6 generations of the owner family were in the room....curious which companies which are the stars of the stock markets today will celebrate 100, 150 or 175...unfortunately I will not be the one to experience that.

First coined by entrepreneur Ida Tin in 2016, the term “FemTech” refers to products and services that support women’s health. Championing the idea of “built by women, for women,” FemTech startups are much likelier to be founded by female entrepreneurs. 70% of FemTech companies had at least one female founder, while non-FemTech companies hovered around 20%. With more than 3.9 billion women who will be in need of care at various points in their lives, FemTech companies are tackling some of the most pervasive healthcare issues that women face, including menstruation, fertility, childbirth, menopause, and more. They also emphasize the importance of data and science informing their product or service. As a hotspot in healthcare, science, and technology, Arizona is perfectly suited for being a FemTech hub. Susan Sly, Azin Radsan van Alebeek, Melissa Lamson, and Mayor of PHX Kate Gallego kicked off the first AZ FemTech conference, and oh boy, did they hit it off! With some markets forecasted in the billions, such as the menopause market, estimated to be $600B, it will be interesting to see how these FemTech startups continue to grow.
