Many times, when we sit to record, we observe how other artists perform. It's good to analyze other artists' performances, BUT only if it is meant to 'LEARN' something from them and not to compare ourselves to them. I understand that it's not easy to end this unhealthy habit of comparing ourselves to others. What we need to understand is that we'll have different journeys, destinies, efforts, and mindsets. In short, all we should try to do is learn new things from senior artists or any artist who has developed their art well. We have to end this tendency to compare ourselves to them.
