In this video, I want to talk about the Power Platform environment settings model driven app. Now we've known this is coming. This has been public preview since September of last year. So we've had some time to familiarize ourselves with this, get to know it a little bit. But I've started noticing that this app is showing up on its own previously while it's been in public preview. We have had to go to the Power Platform at Power Platform Admin Center and turn on this experience, toggle it on. But now it's just showing up in my trial environment, so I'm assuming it's gonna be hitting GI soon. It was slotted for GA in January, which is the month that we're in. So let's look a little bit at the Power Platform environment settings, model driven app. I'm going to point out things that I like, things that I don't like. First of all, the greatest thing about this is that it's pulling in a lot of the administration. Park. That used to be done in many different areas, and it's putting it in one spot, which I really like as the system admin. This is really improving my user experience. Now I don't have to go to the Power Platform, Admin Center, the Maker portal, and the individual apps to configure additional settings. I can just come here. Business management has some of the classic stuff that we're used to, the fiscal year settings, your goal metric metrics, your business closures. But then it's also got some of the other areas we've got queues. If you're using that for customer service, you've got sales territories, lots of different things here in the templates area, this is where you're going to manage everything. We've got service management settings. So now instead of going to your service hub and configuring everything there, you can manage most things here. I, I don't know if it's all, I haven't done a full feature. Comparison, but I'll work on that next. Your mobile offline profiles and settings, your product catalog, then we come down to the customization area. Here's thing number one that I don't like. You wanna go to customizations. First of all, if I click customize the system, the system it is going to open classic environment and it's going into my default solution. So I don't like my system admins and system customizers to do anything in the default solution, right? What I do like is if I come into solutions, it opens power apps make maker portal, which is nice. So I don't have to toggle between different places. It's still going to open. URL, but it is in one spot. If you need to create a new publisher, you could do that here. And then if you want to edit your themes, mess with your beautiful blue theme and your classic themes. If you want to customize and configure that, that'll open up the classic experience too. And you can make all your changes here. You also have a link right to app source, which is pretty cool. Then in the system area, so where you can manage a lot of your security stuff, your data management, your system jobs, turn on auditing, change all of your settings, how long you're going to keep your audit logs. It's also where you're going to manage your Dynamics 365 app for Outlook. Then in the processes area, this is where you can manage all of your different processes. Again, when you click on this, it's going to push it over to classic. So you can see these classic things are taking forever to load. They still haven't loaded from when I clicked on it. So anything that's still relying on your. Your classic is going to take a little while to download, but overall, this power platform environment settings app is a huge win in my book. So keep an eye out for what you can do here versus kind of your older power platform admin center experience. And let me know what you think. If you prefer this streamlined app view or if it's going to be kind of hard for you to move over for managing all these different areas and knowing exactly where everything is into this app because I think I'll be dealing with. Little bit of that myself.
