“Maximising Value with Minimal Emissions”. PDO focused on this during OPES OMAN. In addition, ‘Increasing Production Capacity & Reducing Emissions’. We were excited to participate at OPES and share the great work performed with PDO over the past several years, making notable achievements, supporting PDO’s directives. By applying our AICV reservoir management technology, we supported: 50-200% Increased Oil 70% Reduction of CO2 Emissions 50-90% Reduction of Water/Gas This was achieved by close collaboration from PDO + our InflowControl teams locally in Muscat and abroad. We continue to work diligently, supporting Oman stakeholders in their journey towards a net-zero economy along with ‘profitable, low-cost hydrocarbon production’. #LowerCarbonOil #MoreOilLessEmissions - Petroleum Development Oman - Energy Development Oman - Shell -TotalEnergies -OQ - Oxy -Daleel Petroleum LLC - ARA Petroleum LLC - SPE Oman Section -SPE Oman Young Professionals Section -SPE Northern Emirates Section - SPE Abu Dhabi Section Ahmed Ali Yasir Ahmed

Ismarullizam and I were having a discussion about how to help operators with their water-challenges, and he threw me a curve ball asking, "If you had a magic wand, what would be your wish for technology?" 10 to 1: that is the 'Water to Oil' production ratio average globally from oil reservoirs (and this is a humble figure). Energy security, affordability (+) reduced emissions matter immensely. We can do exponentially better within our industry and yield quantifiable results instantly by applying proven tech within existing wells to manage the un-wanted water, un-certainty and maximize net-oil production. Algeria's National Oil Company Sonatrach has awarded a $210 million contract to construction engineering firm China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Company (CPECC) to revitalize the Alrar gas field in the Illizi basin. The project aims to maintain the Alrar gas field's output at 10 million cubic meters per day by enhancing reservoir pressure. This revitalization is essential as the field, in production since 1984, has experienced a plateau in output. CPECC’s contract includes upgrading surface equipment by installing three gas compressors, a condensate system, and a new gas processing unit. The company will also improve condensate handling, upgrade the flare system, build essential piping and structures and set up a modern control room. The project is scheduled for completion within 32 months, with commissioning set for the second quarter of 2027. CPECC will also provide 24 months of maintenance for the new infrastructure. Exciting news coming out of KSA this week as Aramco awarded contracts in excess of $25 BB to drive the country's gas expansion strategies with production increasing by almost two thirds. The further development of the Jafurah field (circa 230 TCF of raw gas plus condensates), integral to Aramco’s Master Gas System (MGS), is key to the expansion. Almost 80% of this investment will be in LSTK commercial format for pre-FID studies, FEED's, new gas compression, pipelines, gas processing trains, storage, new export facilities and existing MGS expansion. The remaining 20% will be for new and revised gas drilling rig contracts. A huge and challenging series of gas development projects that will fully exploit the KSA ICV incentives and create added value for Aramco and subsidiaries for many years to come.
