So excited for this team, this product, this mission, and our investors who felt the same!
It's been quite a journey getting here from the early hackerhouse days in 2021. There were dozens of AI search models trained and scrapped, endless product features explored, some difficult obstacles, and too many heartwarming memories to count.
But throughout it's always been the same mission -- organize all knowledge. Enable people to know everything about anything.
No current tool enables that, but AI methods make it possible. People aren't accounting for how big of a deal this will soon be, and yet how tantalizingly close we are.
Thank you to Lightspeed, NVIDIA, Y Combinator for seeing what we see, along with all the other investors, all our wonderful customers, and all our many users and hackers.
Onwards to the next chapter!
PS. if you want to help write the next chapter, checkout exa.ai/careers :)
We're excited to announce Exa's Series A funding round, led by Lightspeed, with participation from NVentures (NVIDIA) and Y Combinator. This is just the beginning of our journey to transform the data layer of the AI ecosystem.
Thank you to our incredible team, who has been working on this first-of-its-kind search technology since 2021.
We're also grateful to our customers for betting on Exa. Together we've seen the power of pairing AI with embeddings search, allowing applications to access niche knowledge like never before.
Special thanks to Guru Chahal and Nnamdi Iregbulem from Lightspeed, as well as Artem Barsukov and Samay Dhawan from Nventures, for being thought partners in this and seeing Exa's transformative potential.
Let's go!! 🚀
