At Dynavax we are Committed to Doing What is Right and to give back to our local communities. A group of Dynavax employees including our summer interns volunteered at the Alameda County Community Food Bank. It was a great teambuilding experience with a chance for the interns to meet colleagues outside their own departments, all while supporting a great cause. The team bagged enough produce to provide the equivalent of 250 meals per volunteer. Before we officially end summer, our first cohort of Meharry Structural Biology of Human Pathogens Summer Program students and Research Assistants in the Davis Lab will present their work followed by the keynote Ouzama Henry, VP Clinical Development Dynavax Technologies. We are excited to welcome such an established leader in the field to Meharry Medical College. We want to especially thank our funders National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) R25 mechanism, in addition to our collaborators/partners/lecturers kim sharp Schrödinger SBGrid Consortium NE-CAT SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Neutrons at ORNL Seattle Structural Genomics Center for Infectious Diseases (SSGCID), Black In Biophysics as well as presenters in the courses for skills development Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute Nanome D. E. Shaw Research Lastly, none of this would've worked so well, without the help of the Dept Administrators Marian Addai and Jacqueline Harding! We had an amazing group of students and looking forward to next year!!
