𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐍𝐀𝐒 🎉🎉  If you've pursued a degree in science or engineering, you might remember learning about Kirchhoff's law in high school or during your undergraduate studies. In our latest research, we've taken Kirchhoff's law a step further for ionic pores and junctions. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐝𝐨? We derived a modified Kirchhoff's law to show that an effective electrochemical potential of charge replaces the usual electrical potential. This change allowed us to develop a network model that can predict ionic transport in porous materials and simulate transport in thousands of charged pores in just a few minutes. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫? Our findings could help with future research on supercapacitors and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Congratulations to Filipe Henrique for leading this work. Amazing stuff.

Many congratulations to Aina Edgren, for successfully defending her doctoral thesis! It is titled "Microstructure and high temperature properties of Mo(Si,Al)2 - The effect of particle strengthening and alloying". Aina’s doctoral thesis investigates the high temperature mechanical properties of Mo(Si,Al)2, a ceramic material often used for high temperature heating elements.
