Hats off to Tranzito for launching their groundbreaking bus shelter program in collaboration with the City of Los Angeles! 🚌🌆 They’re hard at work constructing an impressive fleet of 3,000 bus shelters, each equipped with cutting-edge #ePaper displays.

Officially started LA's new bus shelter program today, deep in west valley with the summer sun hitting hard. If the shade came in clutch for the grand opening event, imagine what it'll do for everyday Angelenos waiting for the bus. The beautiful shelter was the featured prop, but we're really celebrating the ongoing teamwork of City of Los Angeles staff to build out 3,000 bus shelters over the next several years. The humble curb is the most complex and demanding real estate there is, and the collaboration is immense. Big thanks to leaders Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmembers Bob Blumenfield, John Lee, Office of Councilmember Nithya Raman, PW Board Prez Aura Garcia. And to those putting in work everyday City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services, Bureau Of Street Lights, City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Bureau of Contract Administration. To Team Tranzito-Vector, it truly takes a village to build a shelter!
