When we founded #Kitabistan in 2016, one of our biggest goals was to emphasize the importance of education and present succesful education models of the world to Azerbaijani public. That's why the first book we published was "Finland: Country of White Lilies" which shows how education change the society in a better ways. Education has always been at the forefront of our subsequent activities - discussions, events, conferences, interviews, translated and published books, and researches. Because education is everyone's right and society without education is doomed to destruction.
Today is International Day of Education. In 2018, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring January 24 as International Education Day. Here, the main goal is to emphasize the importance of education in building a healthy society. As Kitabistan, we also regulate our activities in accordance with SDG 4 and will continue our work in this field.

On March 19, Egor Yablokov had the privilege of meeting with the leadership team of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Heading the team from the Ministry was the First Deputy Minister, Komiljon Karimov.
During the meeting, we discussed E-Quadrat Science & Education's longstanding support for the higher education sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Over the years, we have provided valuable insights, analytical reports, organized events, collaborated with local experts, and introduced world's best practices into the operations of higher education institutions and government bodies.
Given the ambitious goals outlined in the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for the entire higher education sector, including the establishment of world-class universities in the country, the E-Quadrat team is enthusiastic about contributing its expertise, knowledge, data, and insights to help achieve these targets.
To this end, the Ministry and E-Quadrat, along with local and international experts, will collaborate to develop an evidence-based roadmap for the transformation of Uzbekistani higher education institutions into world-class universities. The establishment of world-class universities in the Republic of Uzbekistan will undoubtedly have a significant socio-economic impact, supporting the government's efforts to create a knowledge-based economy and enhance the quality of life in the country.
