In my professional journey, both as a research scientist & as a medical doctor in training, I've been deeply committed to addressing the #sustainabledevelopmentgoals Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined by the #UnitedNations. Specifically, in my research endevours, I feel that I have been dedicated to advancing several of these goals, including but not limited to: - Promoting Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) - Ensuring Quality Education (SDG 4) - Fostering Gender Equality (SDG 5) - Enhancing Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6) - Supporting Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) - Advocating for Climate Action (SDG 13) It is very exciting to watch one owns impact on those projects & in a wider context. This also gives more energy to thrive to continue addressing SDGs in own endeavours. Tech Leadership Lab speaks about aligning one’s life mission with working towards addressing the #sustainabledevelopmentgoals Should we not all be striving to contribute to the global efforts aimed at eradicating poverty, improving healthcare access, & building more resilient & sustainable societies? Starting from taking baby steps from helping your own community (showing kindness is the smallest step that one can take) to working towards a career that encompasses making our Planet Earth & our communities that we live in, thrive. Moving forward, I passionately advocate for continued dedication to working towards SDGs, especially in collaboration with organizations like Tech Leadership Lab. TLL’s mission resonates deeply with my own values and aspirations, as they are committed to leveraging technology & innovation to address pressing global challenges. Their initiatives align perfectly with my personal & professional interests & aspirations, & I am eager to contribute to their cause & collaborate towards a brighter, more sustainable future for all. And in the same time I am #upskilling from practicing #emotionalintelligence on my own #leadershipjourney to acquiring knowledge in a small fraction of #webdevelopment skills. I started 2023 with little to none of these technical skills, 2 months into 2024 I am working in #wordpress, making #landingpages, using own #creativity, #initiative & own #autonomy in creating digital content. Next is writing #newsletters & creating more own #digitalcontentcreator like podcasts. It’s all about #education. When there is a WILL there is a WAY. Looking ahead, I strongly advocate for the ongoing pursuit of #SDGs, particularly through collaboration with organizations like TLL. TLL’s commitment to harnessing technology & innovation aligns with my own aspirations. I truly believe that as global inhabitants of Planet Earth, TOGETHER, we can leverage our collective expertise to make significant strides towards achieving #sdgs goals SOONER & creating a more equitable & sustainable world for generations to come. This mission chose us because of the values we hold dear for the future, our love for humanity, and for the children, and a profound sense of responsibility we feel towards them. It's about caring deeply, about understanding that our actions today shape the world they will inherit tomorrow. Taking the SDG cubes to Montreal for #Innovate4Cities! I'm on my way to Montreal and the SDGs are quite literally coming with me. Why am I carrying them halfway around the globe? Because sometimes we need visual reminders of what we are working for (and we are worryingly off track to meet the SDGs by 2030!) So here is to #I4C24 being a space for practitioners, academics, innovators and decision-makers to work towards accelerating urban climate action - and achieving the #SDGs! And I'll make sure participants take lots of pictures with them. I had the opportunity to attend a workshop on "Mastering Sustainable Development Goals" on July 28th, organized by SDG Impact Leaders and Skillistan in collaboration with the Native Youth Club for Climate Change - NYCCC.
