How to prevent your MedTech product from being left behind . . . Steering clear of a fate where your product remains dormant, whether physically or symbolically, is paramount. But how do you ensure this? Jackie Leach Scully, the esteemed Professor of Bioethics at the University of New South Wales, talks to us about the intriguing realm of PPIE (Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement). Is PPIE just a mandatory checkbox for grant-funded projects, or is it an indispensable cornerstone of robust product development and successful market entry? Welcoming patient and public involvement and engagement isn't a mere roadblock on your product's launch journey; it's an essential stride that every visionary innovator should enthusiastically take. Circulair economy will be key in the future.Join this seminar to get your excisting and new bioprocessing in tip top shape for now and the future.
I have recently been asked, "How do you use your voice?" 🗣 And in all fairness, as an #introvert and #neurodivergent the answer is "scarcely and quietly". I use my voice mostly in more private settings, internally with my team, or in 1:1 conversations, where I feel safe and heard. But on rare occasions, you can hear me loud and clear in public. That is when I feel strongly about a topic that is being discussed, and I believe that my voice can meaningfully contribute to taking action, teaching, or empowering others. I want to drive the change, not just fill the air with noise. And now, there comes a rare moment, when I feel again bold enough to speak up. In the upcoming webinar for the bioeconomy organised by EV Biotech in collaboration with, Synonym, Arxada, and Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant, together with other panellists we will focus on: - how #modelling can speed up the #commercialization of #bioproducts, - what are the different types of purpose-driven models that assist in scaling up #industrial #bioprocesses, - and also, on current models' shortcomings. Why do I care? I strongly believe that in order to make the #circular #economy a reality now, not in 20 years, we need to use the most up-to-date tools, including digital ones, to de-risk, and speed up the introduction of #bioprocesses on a global scale. 📅 Date: September 25, 2024 🕒 Time: 4pm to 5:30pm CET 📍 Sign up for the webinar here: https://lnkd.in/eCqmmf6j The webinar is part of the 12th edition of the #EuropeanBiotechWeek, a week-long (from 24 September to 1 October 2024) series of events aiming at making #biotech accessible to everyone and showing how it surrounds and supports us in everyday life (more at www.biotechweek.org). This seminar on a methodology for needs-driven concept generation feeding downstream product development caught my eye. Most PD frameworks centre needs/requirements post-concept, but this approach proposes placing similar emphasis at the ideation stage, working backwards from a need vs. forward from a design/idea. There are of course many ways to approach ideation; it was interesting to hear about this one.
Upcoming event: introduction to Biodesign: needs driven innovation for healthcare Join us for a one hour free webinar to learn about the #Biodesign Innovation process from Stanford University faculty. Places available for 25 September 1-2pm or 10 October 1-2pm Register now: https://lnkd.in/ey7kJt9N
