Thor Energy PLC (AIM:THR, OTCQB:THORF, ASX:THR) managing director Nicole Galloway Warland discusses latest exploration updates from their regional surface sampling at the Wedding Bell and Radium Mountain projects in the US with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion. Galloway Warland highlighted significant work undertaken over the past few months, including resource and infill drilling planning at Groundhog and Rimrock, and reconnaissance rock chip sampling. She shared exciting results from the Edna Mae prospect, revealing 2.55% uranium, 1.6% vanadium, and an unexpected 2.7% copper. These findings are particularly interesting given the sedimentary systems' capacity to host solid copper. Preparations are also underway for the 2024 drilling programs at the Vanadium King Project. Alberta’s government is providing $5 million from the industry-funded TIER program to expand technology that turns natural waste from Alberta’s oil and gas sector into a valuable mineral used to create batteries for smartphones, electric vehicles and more. We are creating a brighter energy future, positioning Alberta as a preferred global supplier of lithium while stimulating investment, diversifying the economy, and creating jobs here at home. There is a critical minerals race happening worldwide, and with investments like this one, Alberta is setting the pace. We are tapping into our province’s plentiful brine reserves, which are the largest in Canada, our well-documented drill sites and our talented oil and gas workforce to help E3 Lithium get its technology closer to commercialization. The funding will help Calgary-based E3 Lithium work toward commercializing its technology.

The GaffneyCline energy advisory team from Baker Hughes has successful completed Phase 1 of a pre-feasibility study for #CO2 geological storage in Brazil, which was conducted in collaboration with uisa and Renovar Sustentabilidade. 👏 After facing some geological challenges for the site’s CO2 storage, the team performed a rigorous analysis and re-evaluated the limitations, pinpointing new areas for further study. Currently, #CCUS experts are acquiring data to assess reservoir quality, focusing on key factors such as porosity, permeability, and seal rock integrity. In the next phase, we’ll explore sites closer to the UISA facility, which could significantly reduce CO2 transportation costs. This thorough analysis led to the best recommendation and solution, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional expertise and guidance to energize progress in this field. I had the privilege of attending two meetings of the minds over the course of this week; Copper to the World and the South Australian Government’s Green Iron and Steel Expression of Interest launch. South Australia is well endowed with many key resources, but two stand-out as critical to a decarbonised future - Copper and Magnetite. Let’s get behind our strong leadership and take advantage of the 4D solution to prosperity for all South Australians (1) first class copper & magnetite deposits; (2) renewable energy resources; (3) provision of a critical water supply; & (4) timing. We know SA hosts nearly 70% of Australia’s copper and 7.4 billion tonnes of high quality magnetite - all within proximity to the Upper Spencer Gulf. The Northern Water Supply project provides a critical supply of water. SA’s renewal energy credentials are proven and growing, but with the commitment from our State’s senior leaders Peter Malinauskas Hon Tom Koutsantonis MP Paul Heithersay the time for earth collaborative reindustrialisation of SA is here. Where Is Natural Gas Found In Canada? Conventional natural gas production in Canada is mainly from the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WSCB) in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, with smaller volumes produced in Ontario and New Brunswick. Unconventional natural gas is primarily located in northeast British Columbia and northwest Alberta.

George Bennett, CEO, Rainbow Rare Earths, at the Junior Indaba, discussed unlocking secondary sources of rare earths to establish an independent and responsible supply chain. Bernard Swanepoel asked, "Will there be an ex China premium on rare earths?" Bennett said, "We are focused on supplying the West. We have been talking to wind turbine OEMs, and yes, there is talk about a premium. We are, however, not relying on it. Major step forward in domestic rare earth element processing! .GreenMet partner Rare Element Resources Ltd (REE) is one step closer to being able to support our domestic NdPr magnet needs with the construction of a demonstration processing and separation plant in Wyoming. This plant, coupled with the resources of the Wyoming Bear Lodge mine would align the first three supply chain processes from mine to magnet. REE CEO Brent Berg: “Our progress on advancing our recovery technology through construction of the demonstration plant is very timely as today China announced its ban on the export of critical materials extraction and separation technology for rare earth metals and alloy materials as well as technology to prepare rare earth magnets.
