Last week marked a significant moment in our MBA journey at Alliance Manchester Business School– the successful presentation of our inaugural consultancy project in the non-profit sector, in collaboration with The Cambridge Access Validating Agency (CAVA).
This experience was not just about reaching a professional milestone; it was a journey enriched with learning, mutual growth, and meaningful conversations. Working alongside Flóra Raffai, a client whose brilliance and kindness illuminated every phase of this project, was truly inspiring.

📚 Almost wrapping up the first term of my MBA journey at Alliance Manchester Business School! 🎓 It's been an incredible learning experience, and I'm grateful for the knowledge and insights gained so far.
🤝 Just had the privilege of presenting a client presentation to Flóra Raffai, CEO of The Cambridge Access Validating Agency (CAVA), as part of our Not-for-Profit Consultancy project. Working with Flóra and the entire CAVA team has been an absolute pleasure, and their support has been invaluable.
🙏 I'd also like to extend my gratitude to our fantastic supervisor, Leigh Wharton, and my incredible NfP team: Aman Chandra, Abikarami Anandadiga, Shaowei Liu, and IndrianiRezki Pratiwi. It's been a collaborative effort, and I couldn't have asked for a better team.

Awards ceremonies are a bit like buses
You wait for ages for one then 3 come along at once. In the last week Rockit have been to 3 excellent awards. Last week was the The Spectator Economic Innovator Awards and then on Tuesday it was the Progressive Preschool Awards at lunch time, swiftly followed by The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards in the evening. Let me tell you it's not easy eating 2 three course meals in quick succession!
For some people and some businesses, awards are not really their cup of tea and that's fine. I personally love them for the following reasons:
1. Win or lose it is a great opportunity to meet new people and make connections. At all 3 awards my table was packed with really inspirational businesses and people and I loved finding out what they did.
2. It's an opportunity to let your hair down with your team (cue embarrassing video) and celebrate the successes together. You often don't get chance to reflect on and celebrate achievements during the average busy week at work.
3. Whether you are a finalist or a winner getting on the shortlist of awards is a real achievement and it can be PR gold-dust for a small start-up or a much bigger established business.
