Its fantastic to see this Greener Trains report from the Australasian Railway Association (ARA) which provides a rollingstock decarbonisation critical path to provide government, industry and other stakeholders. "It has confirmed that while the new, sustainable technologies that will power the next generation of rollingstock are not yet proven in Australia, we can achieve our net zero ambitions if we act now to develop the policies, research and investment needed to support the transition to zero emissions rollingstock." It highlights 8 priority actions and 6 supply change priority actions including developing a supply chain gap analysis to provide "a more detailed understanding of how the rail supply chain needs to evolve to support low and zero emissions technologies is needed. The development of a supply chain gap analysis will help define where additional capability is required and ensure we have the skills and capability needed to meet the rail industry’s future needs." "Rail operators to investigate business strategies, carbon markets and cost-recovery opportunities to improve the financial feasibility of low emission technologies". I look forward to seeing how the likes of Downer and UGL respond to these challenges and opportunities. Just as we are seeing in the energy sector with the "energy superpower" opportunity, the climate transition presents opportunities in the rail (and transport) sector for Australia to reinvent its approach to transport infrastructure and local manufacturing, if we are bold and smart enough. https://lnkd.in/gsCPwiWM

The new Sustainable Advertising book is out! Here’s what our Communications Director, Matt Bourn, has to say: “Advertising will play a critical role in helping communicate things needed to build a sustainable economy and help reach the UK’s net zero targets. For anyone thinking about how this can be achieved in the most rapid way possible, the advertising industry should be front-of-mind. We can help other industries and the public make the shifts to more sustainable choices.” Read more via Politics Home: https://bit.ly/3Tjalck

💡"Every topic you write should answer one specific question and no more." That is one of the lessons learned from our most recent blog post "Reduce, reuse, recycle your content". Another one is to reuse and recycle your content. So, here's a repeat 😉. 👇

Here's an article by ITS International Magazine's Adam Hill that describes well what happened with MaaS Global -- and to some extent MaaS. I might just come back to this topic with some more data behind it. Starts from page 10.
