After reducing meat in our diets, we realized that not everyone finds it easy to cut back on meat and other animal products, despite the best intentions.
We wanted to simplify this transition for ourselves and others, and we believed that developing tasty, convenient meat alternatives was the key.

Abstaining from alcohol and avoiding meat and other animal products are well-known and associated with the first month of the year. It requires a healthy dose of dedication to get through the month, pleasing the tastebuds and avoiding the ultra-processed vegan options on the supermarket shelves. In the spirit of reflection, it is good to question whether one month of vegan eating is the solution for our planet and our bodies. Many products are produced in warmer climates and have to be transported to us, carrying a large carbon backpack.
#Regenuary was born in 2020 as a reaction to Veganuary to raise awareness of how and where we source our food. The word Regenuary stems from #regenerativefarming, where methods are used to restore the soil, improve #biodiversity, and aid an ecosystem. It is also intended to relieve the stigma that consuming animal products is bad for the planet. A comparison was made between the production of a Mexican avocado and a UK grass-fed piece of beef. The benefit for planet Earth proved to be in the latter. Therefore, vegan or omnivore, making conscious choices on food purchases is important for us all.
