#SpringBegins today! 🌸 Spring begins on the March or vernal equinox, which is when the amount of sunshine is approximately 12 hours long. The amount of sunlight will incrementally increase until the first day of Summer. The vernal equinox marks the moment the sun crosses the celestial equator. This is the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth's equator, from south to north. The vernal equinox happens on March 19, 20, or 21 every year in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, this same event marks the beginning of fall. Meteorologists mark the spring from March 1 through May 31st. Human beings have been following the sun and creating a calendar based on seasons since the beginning of time. In 2020, spring arrived a little earlier due to it being a leap year. On Leap Day, there's a short math lesson regarding the Gregorian calendar. To keep our calendar following the seasons so that spring happens when flowers grow and winter arrives when snow falls, an additional day was figured into years divisible by the number four. This caused the 2020 spring to occur earlier than any living human being alive had ever seen. Before 2020, the earliest spring on record took place in 1896. HOW TO OBSERVE #SPRINGBEGINS 🍍 Get ready for longer days and increased sunshine. 🍍 Tune up the lawnmower. More sunshine means the grass will be growing. 🍍 Spend some time outside. 🍍 Plan your garden or start planting. 🍍 Host a spring party with lots of bright, fresh foods. #firstdayofspring #vernalequinox #springbegins #springforward #getoutside

Hello friends family and acquaintances today is NATIONAL SEASHELL DAY | First Day of Summer! June 20 is the first day of summer and National Seashell Day reminds us to put our toes in the sand and admire the beauty of seashells. Shellers get ready to shellebrate and start shelling! To those not in the know, shellers are beachcombers who collect seashells by scouring the beaches for the gems left behind by snails and mollusks. National Seashell Day is here to tell you all about it and make sure you check out your local beaches during the prime shelling season. For a sheller, the true tulip or lettered olive is almost more mesmerizing than the ocean sunset. Or maybe it's the hunt for the rare or the unique specimen. These jewels of the sandy beaches, the king's crown conch, the apple murex, or even a pear whelk dazzle beachcombers. Their names are as musical and colorful as your adventure will be, so grab your bucket and head out around sunrise or sunset. Seashells are waiting for you! Tips for Shellers: Never collect live shells. When in doubt, always put them gently back in the water. Check local ordinances. Only take a small number. Shells are part of the ecosystem helping to preserve and create the beaches we enjoy visiting. The best time for shelling is one hour before and one hour after low tide. Follow the high tide shell line where the largest waves stop. Watch for full and new moons. They have a higher gravitation pull on the tide and reveal more seashells. Storms churn up the ocean floor sending more shells to the surface and the shore for collection. #NationalSeashellDay #dallasharristips

Beginnings, middles, and ends are part of life. These are all clearly demonstrated in the nature. However, humans have a way of resisting what is natural due to beliefs and emotional attachments, and we can be particularly challenged when it comes to endings. The shelf-life of natural items like flowers and fruit can be perfectly evident, but we might be less aware of this when it comes to other items in the home. The changing of leaves in the autumn can be a metaphor for the beauty that can be found when we let go. I love how Marie Kondo invites us to thank the items that we are releasing from our possession. What a beautiful way to acknowledge the things that we have owned - to have them as gifts rather than as unappreciated soulless objects! The autumn can be a wonderful opportunity to align with nature’s process of letting go of what will no longer be relevant in the period ahead. Appreciating the gift that you have had and are now releasing can make the experience brighter, much like the vibrant leaves that will soon fall from the trees. May we all experience appreciation as we let go of what we have been privileged to own.

How to #lead now... GRAPES. He had no choice but to fly on. It had already become noon and the sun was burning down. Pepe further looked for a suitable planet on which he could land. He wanted to stretch his legs and then relax, because after all, he could only sit on grandma's carpet. He had not long to wait. Soon he noticed a planet, which seemed to consist of many small planets. When he flew closer, he realized that it was a grape-planet. This planet was wonderful with beautiful brown-red-green vine leaves above and many glorious grapes below. Each one nicer and juicier than the other. Pepe landed on top of a thick grape. He looked for a comfortable place to lay down comfortably. When he had found such, he laid down: his legs fully extended and his arms folded behind his head, just as you lay down to dream on a meadow. And he dreamed... Suddenly... (to read the whole story, please click on the picture below) My key takeaways: 1. #SHARING IS THE BEST MEDICINE. 2. SHARING STARTS WITH GIVING AND ENDS WITH GETTING. 3. SHARING IS LIKE BECOMING PART OF THE WHOLE. https://lnkd.in/ejQ-Ny2Q
GRAPES.
