💡Did you know? From 2016 to 2023, the Cacao Forest Project supported 35 Dominican producers in innovating sustainable cocoa agroforestry practices. This initiative targeted over 1,900 producers, boosting biodiversity and increasing incomes from under $2,000 to over $7,000 per hectare annually! One of the most remarkable aspects of this project has been the strong sense of community and #trust we've built with local #farmers. Workshops and training programmes have equipped them with the skills to implement sustainable practices, creating a ripple effect of positive change. Farmers have reported seeing more birds and insects, improved #soilhealth, and increased biodiversity on their lands. 🍫 From ageing plantations to empowering communities, discover how the Cacao Forest project helped to transform the landscape of Dominican cocoa farming through sustainable practices and innovative #agroforestry models. Swipe through below ⤵️ to learn more about this incredible journey and the future of sustainable cocoa farming.
