On 2 & 3 July, #EASA hosted the #AI Days High Level Conference 2024 that provided a key waypoint between the exploratory and consolidation phases of the EASA AI Roadmap. The roadmap takes a human-centric approach that is driven by the principle of human oversight. The effective and #safe use of evolving AI technology in aviation relies on collaboration and the sharing of experiences. It is also vital to have open conversations about the challenge of AI ethics in aviation. The second day also allowed for the final results of the MLEAP (Machine Learning Applications Approval) Horizon Europe Research project to be shared with the aviation community. Presentations and a link to the recordings of these days are available now 👉 https://lnkd.in/eJ6vWBqY
Many many thanks to you, Guillaume, and the whole EASA AI team for this exciting and inspiring event. I enjoyed the discussions with you very much! As project leader of the DLR project LOKI, I am very pleased to cooperate with you. I am looking forward to our next workshop on perspectives on human-AI collaboration in ATM context.
Thales was happy to present 3 AI use-cases: Digital Sequencer AMAN based on ML, Conflict Detection & Resolution by RL and GINN/PINN & trajectory optimization for Contrails Mitigation.
Thank you for organising the conference! It was a great opportunity to be part of the panel discussion on AI ethics in aviation! Hope to see you next year.
Looking forward to integrate more AI technologies into everyday use aviation applications. Thank you for great event!
