As much as the prospect of drone delivery excites me, I'm left with a few questions about the system.
1) Is there communication between drone operators and ATC to avoid incursion with other aircraft? With whom specifically would they communicate? (Approach, Tower, Departure etc.)
2) Given that Dallas has a large number of uncontrolled General Aviation (GA) airports, how will pilots adapt to the presence of unmanned drones in said uncontrolled airspace? Will operators avoid that airspace?
3) What are the extant regulations surrounding these drones?
I'll be watching these developments intently; as you know, innovation either has to work within a system or revolutionise it.

Get ready for Drone deliveries without the visual line of sight restrictions, a first for US Aviation.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires that all commercial drone operators are able to maintain a line of sight to their drones until it approves a technology that can safely enable drones to fly beyond visual line of sight, known as BVLOS.
BVLOS is a term to describe flying a drone where the remote pilot can't see it directly with their own eyes. Instead, a remote pilot would rely on instruments or technology to monitor and control the drone at all times.
Drone companies Zipline and Wing Aviation are the latest companies that can now operate commercial deliveries beyond the visual line of sight after receiving an exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration.
