#IPL #The Spirit of Sportsmanship the high scoring big hitting game yesterday,witnessed one of the finest yorkers bowled by #IshantSharma #AndreRussel was felled by a toe crushing Yorker,was on his fours literally As it is,getting bowled to a Yorker is quite embarrassing -to be felled & on your fours ,akin to a knock out punch ,is humiliating. But to lift yourself up, for the class of an #AndreRussel & to applaud the bowler is extraordinary. simply remarkable! Such acts are contagious and will spur other players to follow. In this highly competitive games,Sportsmanship and sportsman spirit is a forgotten trait. These genuine acts of sportsmanship is what lifts the game and makes it a spectacle to watch. The Principles of Sportsmanship Are Just As Important In Business As They Are On the field . Good sportsmanship in Business and the Corporate world can help create a positive spirit amongst the team ,lifts their morale up. Here’s the thing, for me, #esports like #PUBG tick all my competition boxes. I really enjoy coaching football in real life because I love to see my lads win every weekend (weather permitting) but as an adult that’s all I have now - playing gigs with my band #StoneShadow at the weekends is amazing but doesn’t scratch this particular itch… *note* my boys have been encouraged to win rather than simply take part (see previous #grassrootsfootball post).. Nothing frustrates me more than seeing poor performances getting rewarded. Perhaps that’s why I enjoy these battle royale titles - me vs 99 other competitors in a last player standing competition / winner takes it all fixture .. brilliant 😁👏🏼 It’s still early days for my esports participation, and clearly would be unrealistic to assume I’d secure victory in every round I compete in.. but what’s important is I’m finishing in the top 20% of players in the majority of rounds I’m competing in and it feels like I’m making progress at every attempt. I appreciate I’m not going making regionals / nationals / world champs any time soon, and that’s fine - I’m happy to compete at my own pace and not get too far ahead of myself. (For clarity, given any opportunity to enter any major tournaments, I’ll be signing up immediately.)
