These are the kinds of posts that make you wonder about the risks involved. Requirements say: Own car is "Essential." but the CTC is R19000 with ZERO% on benefits, what is the total salary after Tax? R18 734?? You pay petrol per month for R2000 at least that's R16K you pay for the car that you are suppose to own's insurance? Between R1.5 and R1000 what does that leave you with? R1500 Rent and other expenses like food, electricity, and the likes there? R9000 R6000, medical aid and life cover? R3000 to R4000 And you have what to give back home or save for yourself? R2000.....So the actual pay here is R2000 hopefully you don't have to pay for the car you are driving and it's your father's or you did a full pay from your last job. ~ what are we doing here?

There are some terms in a job vacancy many people don't understand and without understanding they can't tailor their CV to fit the job to apply for it Here are some common terms on a job vacancy you should look out for and what it means 1. Related Experience; if you see the vacancy states they need candidates with minimum xxx years related experience, Related experience means experience related to the job For instance if the job is a Receptionist A related experience is Front desk officer or customer service officer because a receptionist is a Customer service role So if you have related experience, Focus on highlighting those experiences, the unrelated experience should not take up space on your CV 2. Managerial experience: if it is specified that preferred candidates are those that have performed in a managerial capacity for a minimum of xxx years, it means they are looking for people that have been managers So you are expected to highlight roles where you acted as a manager or supervisor for the number of years stated If you have been a team leader , highlight it If you have been a supervisor, highlight it If you have been a manager, highlight it And also highlight all your achievements as a manager 3. Industry experience: this means they are seeking candidates that have worked in a particular industry Healthcare, BPO, Tech, Energy,. Agriculture, Power etc If you have worked in the industry they prefer Highlight it in the experience section of your CV Mention the company underneath indicate the industry 4. Every Job vacancy has parts Required part: these are parts that are required, it is non negotiable. It is called the requirement session You can see required years of experience, educational qualifications and skills About the role: this gives you an insight of what the role of about Skills: they highlight the skills they want the preferred candidate to possess 5. Job category:.if the vacancy states they need people in a category We have entry level Mid level Senior level Entry level is people with 0-2 years experience mid level is people with 3-6 years experience Senior level is people with 7 years above experience This is why it is important to understand a job vacancy before you apply I wish you luck in your job applications this year Amen #jobapplications

Jobs I have done and lessons learned that you will not find on my CV, but have influenced my life positively. 📍Bartender (at a restaurant) ▪️Lesson learned: Listen more than you speak and the importance of confidentiality. 📍Farm Assistant (at my dad’s farm) ▪️Lesson learned: Hard work will not kill you. Even animals deserve to be treated with respect. 📍Hotel Manager (at a family-owned hotel) ▪️Lesson learned: Customer is king, give them a memorable experience that keeps them coming back. 📍Livestock Farmer (my mini farm) ▪️Lesson learned: Embrace failure, it’s part of the process. 📍Data Entry Assistant (at a brewery) ▪️Lesson learned: Having a skill is not enough you have to learn the business of that skill. 📍Procurement Officer (at my dad’s company) ▪️Lesson learned: As a business owner, you have to be involved in the process Sometimes doing tasks that are ‘beneath you’. 📍Personal Shopper ▪️Lesson learned: Your business is not about you give the customers what they want. My early jobs weren't glamorous, but each one taught me something: ⛺ Camp Counsellor: Be kind to everyone. Gatekeeping helps nobody, least of all yourself. 🎸 Pawn Shop Cashier: Being organized is an investment in your own sanity. Invest early and often. ⛏️ Landscaper: People will always want the job done fast AND cheap AND right. Deliver at least two, but strive for all three. 👩⚖️ Court Reporter: Learn to love listening. Curiosity is an asset. (Also, insurance fraud 'aint worth it.) 🤝 Account Manager: Make people feel heard. It's a gift with no cost. ✍️ Content Writer: Omit needless words. 🙌 Agency Co-Founder: Don't try to be everything to everyone.
