These vital areas provide grazing space for livestock, featuring a mix of grasses and legumes that support their nutrition. Well-managed pastures do more than just feed animals—they enhance soil health, sequester carbon, and promote biodiversity. By preventing soil erosion and improving water retention, they create a resilient ecosystem. Plus, when combined with trees and shrubs in agroforestry systems, pastures offer shelter and enrich the environment. Covering about 26% of the world’s ice-free land, pasture lands are essential for our food systems and the planet’s health! In today’s competitive #agricultural landscape and with increased input costs, #sheepfarmers continually seek ways to enhance their operations’ productivity and efficiency. Optimised, efficient #livestock production not only ensures better returns on investment but also promotes sustainable practices that benefit the #environment and #animalwelfare. The only way to overcome this is to improve on outputs, specifically animal performance and productivity. Fin and Tail Rot is one of the most preventable diseases in fish. The root cause of Fin Rot is always poor water conditions, but fish stress is also a contributing factor. When fish are handled, moved, subjected to overcrowding, or housed with more aggressive fish, they are more susceptible to Fin and Tail Rot. If left untreated, it will eventually kill the diseased fish and infect all the other fish in the tank.
