Why You Should Not Ignore a Trust in a Will, by Susan Fairless.
When someone passes away, the importance of their will cannot be overstated. A will is a legal document that outlines how their assets should be dealt with. However, a will may contain provisions regarding trusts that often go unnoticed or misunderstood, and this can have serious consequences.

Crime often increases when there is no fear of strict punishment. It is inhumane not to deliver justice for victims of brutal crimes like rape and murder. Many criminals have psychopathic tendencies due to impaired brain functioning, which may require medical intervention rather than just psychological methods. Society should protect itself by imprisoning such individuals for their treatment. However, some crimes, such as financial fraud, theft without violence, or tax evasion, should be addressed differently. Offenders of these crimes should not necessarily be imprisoned, as this can overcrowd jails, increase costs for taxpayers, and hinder recovery efforts. Racial crimes that do not cause physical or mental harm should be addressed through education rather than imprisonment, regardless of the offender’s academic credentials. Each crime should be handled according to its nature.
The death penalty is cruel and inhumane, and it has no place in the modern world. It also tends to disproportionately impact minorities and often leads to irreversible miscarriages of justice. As business leaders and investors, we have an interest in fairness, good governance, the rule of law. The death penalty is neither fair nor just, and that should compel all of us to be voices for abolition. If you’re a business leader that believes in justice, join me in signing the Business Leader’s Declaration Against the Death Penalty: https://bit.ly/3XLF3Nl.

Nuptial Agreements can reflect the financial discussions that you have had with your partner when seeking to protect assets, business interests, and future inheritance. They are not binding on the Family Court, but the Court must uphold the terms of a Nuptial Agreement if it was properly prepared, freely entered into and is fair to both parties.
We want to ensure that you have an agreement that works for you both and helps protect both of you, now and in the future. Find out more here; https://lnkd.in/ea6_sgf5#prenups#familylaw#nuptialagreement
