With the rise of social media, many artists forget about one of the most direct and effective ways to connect with their audience: a fan mailing list 👇 Why build a mailing list? 1️⃣ You don’t rely on social media algorithms to be seen. 2️⃣ Emails feel personal and often have higher engagement rates than social posts because it's sent to each person, rather than posted to a feed on social media. 3️⃣ It’s another channel to promote your music, gigs, and content. The more ways you get your music out there, the better! Okay, now: how do you build your email list? Simple—go on your socials (which you should already be using to promote your music) and tell your followers to subscribe to your mailing list. Of course, you need to offer something in return. Many artists give away bootlegs, special edits, or even original tracks. That’s a great place to start! Also, keep it simple: use an easy link or form for sign-ups. 👉 Mailing lists might feel old-school, but they’re still being used today for a reason. But it got me thinking - what really makes content go viral? Over the past three years, I’ve written, designed, and posted a lot of content. Thousands of posts, to be exact. Some have flopped. Others have made waves, especially among students at Delhi University. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: THERE'S NO MAGIC FORMULA FOR VIRALITY Sometimes you spend hours on a post, and it goes nowhere. Other times, you toss a quick witty line, and it takes off like wildfire. But here’s the thing: It’s all about knowing what’s TRENDING. Whether it’s the Chill Guy meme, Spotify Wrapped, or that soft jazz music loop (trending rn). Here's my approach to extract Viral content from Trending topic :- 1️⃣Find the trend. What’s everyone talking about? 2️⃣Make it yours. Add your voice or style to it. 3️⃣Read the comments of reference post. They’re full of ideas you can use (Important). 4️⃣Test and tweak.
