🚨 Serious Alert 🚨 As homeowners, it's crucial to be proactive and ensure shared community spaces are respected. Taking matters in your own hands when necessary is key: - Attending HOA board meetings can provide a platform to voice concerns directly. - Be prepared, gather evidence to support your case, and engage with other residents for collective impact. Remember, community rules are in place for a reason and must be upheld for the benefit of all residents. Action may be uncomfortable but necessary to maintain harmony and property value. Stand up for your rights and the well-being of your community!

The following is a real-life example of how community consultation privileges homeowners whilst excluding renters. 77% of Ku-Ring-Gai are homeowners—whilst they made up a whopping 95% of the respondents. Renters make up 20% of the local community—whilst they only made up 4% of the respondents. We need community consultation reform! If you missed it check out yesterday's post on how homeowners control local governments: https://lnkd.in/gYu-5ey2 Shout out to Sydney YIMBY for making us aware of this example.

TOWNSHIP OF LANGLEY DEVELOPMENT NEWS At the November 18th council meeting, mayor and council endorsed the vision for the new 200 Street 2040 Corridor Plan and instructed staff to use it to update the broader Willoughby Community Plan in 2025.
