Then THIS happened: ⏰ Saturday morning CY LT 09.00 email: ‘Vessel heading towards Argentina instead of Brazil ‘ ⏰ Saturday, CY LT 13.00 (08.00 LT Argentina): The client receives a quick email with revised costs for Argentina. ⏰ Saturday CY LT 14.00: Flag – class approvals sent (lifeboat annual service) ⏰ Saturday, CY LT 18.00: Order received from the client; order sent to the local partner. ⏰ Monday CY LT 08.00 Argentina LT – techs onboard // 17.00 Job completed! Imagine if we had waited until Monday to ask our local guys for availability & costs. Imagine if the client had waited until Monday pm to receive a quote. We would be TOO BLOODY LATE! The job would either be awarded to another company that quoted over the weekend, or the job would be totally cancelled and picked up in the next suitable port. I feel like a WINNER. Can you relate?
