Los Angeles rolls out Olympics plans ——————— LA's 2028 Olympics: A No-Car Event The idea of a no-car Olympics in Los Angeles in just four short years may seem like a daunting task, but that's the plan. As part of the country's most climate-conscious Olympics, the 2028 committee is aiming to reduce traffic congestion and encourage the use of public transportation. But will it work? A Different City The plans are still in the works, but organizers say that part of the deal is making LA's already pre-existing Olympic venues only accessibl... This is the opposite of everything Crfted Events stands for. A great lesson on how to not get a great (ROE) return on experience. How would you feel if you have been training for 3.5 years to represent your country in the Olympic triathlon to learn that your event was cancelled and there wasn't contingency? The questions that come to mind: Will Paris ever be awarded the games again? Could the $1.5 billion have built an incredible space for the triathletes to compete for people to view? Is there any repercussions to wasting $1.5 billion? How will this impact guidelines and expectations for the future of global events?

12 out of 10. I recommend. Our Olympics experience exceeded all expectations. Paris was stunning, the events were flawless, the transport was a cinch, and it was amazing to be a part of the drama and excitement of it. Paris put its best foot forward, showing its global guests an incredible time. It was so great that we are all in for LA28. If you caught the fever of the five rings and want to go to the next Olympics, I get it. And I can help. My five most important tips if you want to hit 2026 (Milano Cortino), 2028 (Los Angeles), or beyond: 1. Plan two years out or more if you can. 2. Sign up for official (event) ticket lotteries. 3. Get tickets for lesser-known and non-medal events (or splurge and go all in on dramatic finals). 4. Book your lodging a year or more in advance. Expect to prepay in full. 5. Finally, read and save my updated all-points guide below that shares costs (our actual Paris 2024 spending), planning timelines, and answers all the questions. I always assumed going to the Olympics was out of reach, an exclusive global event only for people with big budgets and even bigger connections. We have neither. Instead, I am a detailed planner, figuring out how to make it work for a non-absurd cost, and I dropped all the info in my guide. Check it out below. https://lnkd.in/ge7DtmHN

The Summer* of Sport is Here! 🌞🏅 With the kick-off of Euro 2024 just hours away, and events like the Olympics, Wimbledon, and The Open all taking place over the next couple of months, we know how vital sport is to the hospitality industry. Great facilities for watching sport can transform a venue into the go-to destination for customers and guests who can't attend the events in person. Whether it's a cosy pub showing football, a hotel offering an exclusive Olympics viewing experience, or a stylish roof terrace bar with big screens for Wimbledon, the right setup can be very appealing. Yet, how often do venues get it wrong by having the sound at the wrong volume, or by having the wrong TV package? Likewise, how does it make you feel when a pub that doesn't normally do table service actively offers it during busy sports events so that you don't miss a crucial moment? Simple gestures done right can make all the difference. At Halo, we’re passionate about helping hospitality venues really understand the customer journey so that they can confidently promote and deliver the very best experiences. We help our clients continuously improve their processes to ensure guest loyalty and drive revenue and profitability. *Although it really doesn't feel like Summer in the UK right now... #Euro2024 #ParisOlympics #Wimbledon #Hospitality #SummerOfSport #CustomerExperience
