Our choices define us, inside and out. ✨ That's why it's so important to make healthy choices for our bodies and minds. 🧠❤️ This pic depicts the two roads we can take: the easy, short-term path or the longer, sustainable one. 🚶♀️🚶♂️ It's tempting to choose the easy way out, but we all know that the consequences of unhealthy choices can be costly. So why choose a healthy lifestyle? Here are three reasons: 🏃♂️🏃♀️More energy: When you eat healthy foods and exercise regularly, you have more energy to do the things you love. 😊😌Better mood: Eating a balanced diet and getting regular exercise can help improve your mood and reduce stress levels. 🫀 🧠 🦠Reduced risk of chronic diseases: A healthy lifestyle can help reduce your risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and some types of cancer. So, what are you waiting for? Choose a healthy lifestyle today! 💪🍎🏃♀️ #healthylifestyle #nutrinest #choosehealth #worthit

"In the Age of Detox and Age Reversal: Are We Misled?" Every Sunday, I have a ritual of embracing the day slowly—unlike my usual weekdays, which start with heavy workouts. Sundays are my time. I wake up early to enjoy the quiet morning with a cup of my favourite coffee and my all-time favourite book, Big Panda and The Tiny Dragon. It’s a book I read repeatedly because there’s always something new to learn. Today, I followed my routine but also indulged in a bit of Instagram scrolling—a little guilty pleasure. While going through reels, one caught my eye: it shared news of a couple from Kanpur who duped people by promising to reverse their age. I sent this to my manager, Anshu, who jokingly replied, "New business idea." After the laughter, I wondered: Are we really so naive? Are people that desperate to reverse their age? What purpose would it serve? As I pondered this, my thoughts drifted toward my nutrition practice, recalling a similar post by a prominent Indian nutritionist on LinkedIn. It read, "My detox drink. Comment to get the detox plan and recipe." The post had massive engagement, with many asking for the recipe. This raised another question: Are people gullible enough to think a drink can detox their bodies? Here’s my take on the madness of detoxes and age-reversing programs: Why People Fall for These Claims: The Easy Way Out: People often avoid putting in the effort to change their lifestyle—eating clean and exercising, which are essential. False Promises: The allure of regaining youth and vitality without hard work is tempting. Many believe a detox or age-reversing machine can do the work for them. Quick Fix Mentality: The promise of results in 7 or 21 days convinces them they can revert back to their old indulgent habits. My Thoughts on This Trend: Why engage in activities that age you in the first place? Alcohol, smoking, loud music, and greasy food are abuses to your body. How can a machine or drink reverse something that has affected you at the cellular level? Physical Ageing: If you expect a machine to rebuild your muscle mass, you're accelerating your ageing process. No machine can revive, preserve, or grow muscle for you. The Detox Myth: Anyone with basic knowledge knows the liver handles detoxification. If you don’t overburden it with alcohol and junk food, your body will detox itself. All you need to do is consume liver-friendly foods in moderation. Yes, even natural foods must be eaten moderately. In conclusion, why would you pay lakhs for programs that scam you when you can simply learn to Eat Rrite and achieve the same results? Eating right isn’t hard—it’s changing your mindset that’s the real challenge. That’s where the effort lies. I hope this has added value to your Sunday read. After all, samajhdar ko ishara hi kafi hai! Here are 5 key factors of a nutritious diet that many people know but often fail to implement, along with simple ways to incorporate them into daily life: 1. Balanced Macronutrients: 1️⃣ What you know: You need a balance of carbs, proteins, and fats. 2️⃣ What you miss: Most diets overemphasise one macronutrient, leading to imbalance. 3️⃣Simple Solution: 👉Aim for each meal to have a balance of whole grains, lean protein (like legumes, fish, or poultry), and healthy fats (like nuts, seeds, or avocado). 👉Visualise your plate: ½ vegetables, ¼ protein, ¼ whole grains. 2. Portion Control: 1️⃣What you know: Portion sizes matter. 2️⃣What you miss: Overeating healthy food can still lead to weight gain. 3️⃣Simple Solution: 👉Use smaller plates and bowls to naturally limit portions. 👉Eat mindfully—slow down and listen to your body's hunger and fullness cues. 3. Hydration: 1️⃣ What you know: Water is essential for overall health. 2️⃣ What you miss: Many confuse thirst with hunger, leading to overeating. 3️⃣ Simple Solution: 👉Carry a water bottle throughout the day and aim for at least 8 glasses of water. 👉Drink a glass of water before meals to help manage portion sizes and stay hydrated. 4. Fibre Intake: 1️⃣ What you know: Fibre aids digestion and supports gut health. 2️⃣ What you miss: They aren’t getting enough from whole food sources. 3️⃣ Simple Solution: 👉Add fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes to your daily meals. 👉Snack on high-fibre options like nuts, seeds, or an apple. 5. Consistency: 1️⃣ What you know: Healthy eating should be a lifestyle, not a temporary diet. 2️⃣ What you miss: Falling into the trap of "all or nothing" thinking. 3️⃣ Simple Solution: 👉Focus on progress, not perfection. Make small, sustainable changes. 👉If you slip up, get back on track with your next meal. Every small choice counts. These are just 5 simple factors—imagine the transformation that a complete, guided nutrition plan could bring to your life! At Eat Rrite, we help you make these changes in a way that works for YOU.
