The selected projects are: 🔄 Bio2Coat Natural Preservation Technology a disruptive solution against food waste and single-use plastic packaging through the development of 100% natural coatings that extend the shelf life of food. 🔬 mmmico eats using a highly scientific approach, it combines techniques such as fermentation, directed evolution, and artificial intelligence to develop new natural ingredients that replace their synthetic counterparts. 🌿 Néboda driving the future of agriculture with revolutionary automation technology applied to vertical farming, enabling high-density, cost-effective crop production. 🐚 POSEIDONA this startup has successfully transformed algae production waste into innovative ingredients and proteins, revolutionizing the current production system and making a positive impact on our oceans. Exploring Berlin’s food innovation ecosystem! This week, our colleagues Itziar Ortega & Vittoria Emanuela Bria, along with key corporate partners Alejandro Arranz Stancel y Marta Lage Sousa, Rubén Hidalgo, Raimundo Castilla, Eduardo Burgos del Barrio, IVAN PEREZ LLUCH, Roselyne Chane, Blanca López Alerm, José Antonio Rísquez Salas, Carmen Lendoiro Boquete, Meritxell Verdaguer, Ana Laura Fleba, embarked on an immersive journey into Germany’s thriving food ecosystem, thanks to AECOC and Albert Anglarill Recasens. During their time in Berlin, they visited leading accelerators, innovative companies, and startups such as KitchenTown Berlin, ProVeg Incubator, and SkoneLabs. They also engaged with industry leaders from REWE, Delivery Hero, HelloFresh, Neggst, and Nosh.bio, gaining invaluable insights into how the ecosystem operates. This trip highlights the crucial collaboration between startups and corporates that is driving the future of the food industry.
