Africa is blessed with abundance, yet our people still suffer. Our leaders have failed us, taking money meant for development to enrich themselves and their generations. They preach unity while sowing division, promising progress but delivering nothing. If Europe and America are to pay reparations for enslaving us, then our leaders must pay a bigger reparation for exploiting their people in modern-day Africa. They have not only failed us but continue to drain our potential and hinder our progress. It’s time for a change. Our leaders must stop exploiting the people and stop being a hindrance to Africa’s growth. We deserve better. 🌍 #Africa #Leadership #Reparation #Change

There is absolutely no excuse for the ongoing underdevelopment and pervasive bad leadership that plagues Africa. It's time for change, and if we decide to unite and take action, we will undoubtedly rise above these challenges! I hold the firm belief that merely waiting for a better leader is not the solution to Africa's deep-rooted problems. Our history has shown us time and again that the cycle of ineffective leadership continues unabated. If we continue to wait for a savior in leadership, we might as well wait indefinitely. The current system in place fosters greed and self-interest among our leaders, a system that seems deeply entrenched. The key lies in our collective power to rise up, demand change, and actively pursue it. Until we, the people, stand together, voice our demands, and take decisive action, the light at the end of this tunnel will remain elusive. It is time for a new dawn, where accountability, transparency, and genuine progress define our path forward. #EndBadLeadership #AfricanUnity #RiseAbove #DemandChange #CollectiveAction #NewDawn #Accountability #Transparency #EmpowerAfrica #ProgressForAll

This memory popped up on my phone today, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. While in Nairobi, Kenya, I came across this powerful message on a bench. “I refuse to just sit here, I will make a change.” This resonates with how I approach life and business. Every day, we have a choice to make: either sit back and wait for things to happen or get up and actively create the change we want to see. Being in a country full of energy and potential reminded me that the decision to act is always ours. Whether it’s in leadership, growing a business, or making a difference in our communities, progress is driven by those who take action and refuse to settle. As I reflect on this, I’m reminded of the opportunities we have in South Africa and across Africa. It’s time to rise, push boundaries, and shape the future we want, instead of waiting for someone else to do it for us. Let’s not just sit here. Let’s make a change. #Leadership #Growth #Action #AfricaRising #PurposeDriven #Kenya #Nairobi

🌍 Leadership is about bold decisions that shape the future. "30 to 35 years ago, China was not where it is today. Now, it stands as the second-largest economy in the world. This transformation happened because of leadership—because of strong, decisive action." These powerful words from H.E. William Ruto, President of Kenya at the Africa CEO Forum 2024 are a reminder that visionary leadership is the driving force behind progress. In Africa, as in the rest of the world, true leaders focus not on short-term wins, but on long-term impact. They make tough decisions, even when it challenges the status quo, because they understand that leadership is not about popularity, but about progress. 📈 Are we ready to embrace leadership that prioritizes Africa’s future over fleeting interests? #Leadership #DecisionMaking #Africa #GlobalGrowth #AFRICACEOFORUM #AssertiveAfrica Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Agence française de développement in Eastern Africa Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Strathmore Business School (SBS) Joshua Oigara William Samoei Ruto PHD Uhuru Kenyatta Mo Ibrahim Foundation Daily Nation Newspaper Business Daily Africa Fisayo Fosudo

Tai Afrika Leadership Thought: There is nothing specifically the matter with politicians in Africa. In fact, in a majority of the cases, their scorecards compare favorably with those of other politicians across the Globe. They seem to understand the problems that afflict their people. They appear to know how those problems can be solved. But, somehow, they never finally come round to solving them. Something somehow always seems to hold them back They seem scared, perhaps of each other, or more probably of themselves. Every time they seem to move forward to solve the problem, they only end up walking away and looking for someone else to blame. The fewer they are, the faster we will move. #leadership #africa #unity #leadershipskills #politicians #thoughtleadership

Africa my Africa
Africa is widely recognized for its immense investment potential. However, we often see African leaders being invited to summits hosted by Global North nations to discuss opportunities in Africa🌍. These summits are characterized with promises that rarely translate into concrete benefits for the continent. It is time to critically assess the real impact of these meetings and demand outcomes that genuinely support Africa's development goals. Solutions for Africa should not be dictated by external powers but developed through genuine collaboration with African leadership. Africa should advocate for summits that deliver real, measurable progress for our continent. #Africa #InvestmentOpportunities #Development

Imagine an Africa where every individual, young and old is living intentionally, purposefully and with a collective vision to build a great nation. For me, this is not just a dream. It is a call to action! An action that begins with me... and you! If we must see change, we must first be the CHANGE. Change in perception... Change in belief... Change in confessions... Change in conduct... Change in policies... Change in leadership style... We may not be able to get the older generation to believe or buy into this vision, but we can get the younger generation to see it and run with it. Because the future is NOW, we must continue to EDUCATE, TRAIN, EQUIP, and EMPOWER our generation and the next, until the vision becomes our reality, and the future we want becomes the today we have! #Leadership #vision #changemakers #visionaryleadership #bloomgirlconference2024 #seethefutureownthefuture #girlsmentoring #girlsleadership #socialimpact #socialcontribution #change
