Today, I had the incredible opportunity to explore how we can make the public sector a place where EVERYONE feels like they truly belong. One key takeaway that struck a chord with me? The notion that "no" is simply a temporary pause, not a permanent roadblock – “no is just a no for today”. When we encounter obstacles or resistance in our quest to create a more inclusive environment, it's essential to remember that every setback is just a steppingstone on the path to progress. Sometimes, you must go back and reframe, reimagine, and reignite our commitment to fostering belonging in the workplace. When we prioritize belonging, we pave the way for a brighter, more vibrant future for ALL. #BelongingMatters #PublicSectorPioneers #CultureMatters

Let's all take a page from the book of Black women and make our voices heard. Congressperson Shirley Chisholm once said, "if they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair." Her words continue to inspire women today as we witness an unprecedented number of people making their own space in the conversation about diversity, equity and inclusion - particularly Black women. For women, Blacks and others who have faced discrimination, it's important to remember your worth, not what anyone else thinks it is. Shirley Chisholm knew that securing a seat at the table meant using her voice to facilitate change and impact progress. We can all learn from her bravery and be the change we want to see in the world. Don't wait for an invitation, be determined to make an impact, have some courage. Don’t be convinced that what you say doesn’t matter. Use the power of your words and be heard - not just during Women’s History Month. We need all hands on deck all year long during these challenging times for our nation. If your voice didn't have power, nobody would be trying to silence it. If our history wasn’t important, nobody would be trying to hide it. So, believe in yourself, know that you belong even if you don’t receive an invitation. Bring up a chair for yourself and make a difference for all.♥️ This is what we try to do every single day at Ponder Diversity Group. #shirleychisholm #womenlead #blackwomenleaders #voices #seatatthetable #makeadifference #womenempoweringwomen #politicalleadership #genderequity #racialequity #diversityequityinclusion #diversity #equity #inclusion

I AGREE! When women are supported financially, the impact goes far beyond just the individual. By investing in women, we are investing in the future of our communities. When women are given the resources and opportunities they need to succeed, they can drive positive change in society. Financial empowerment for women not only benefits them personally, but it also has a ripple effect on the economy as a whole. By providing women with the financial resources they need to start businesses, pursue education, or invest in their communities, we are helping to boost economic growth and development. Furthermore, when women are financially empowered, they are able to contribute more to the progress and prosperity of their nation. By funding women and supporting their endeavors, we are investing in the future success of our country. Lastly, empowering women financially is not just a moral imperative, it is essential for the advancement and success of any nation.
