Is your Company taking advantage of the huge opportunities for talent pipeline debelopment and building a stronger company by creating your skills and leaders for the future? Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2025 runs from 3-7 March with the theme #MadeForBusiness. If you have achieved success with your own apprentices, why not use the campaign to showcase your own apprentices and what they bring to your organisation? Believe it or not, we still have companies that don’t understand, or have never been made aware of the huge benefits an apprentice scheme can bring to their company and their bottom line. There is no better way to raise awareness thank by getting your own apprentices to inspire current school pupils to consider apprenticeships by attending Developing the Young Workforce. #skills The Scottish Government 10 Downing Street Tap into more ideas and downloadable resources here: https://lnkd.in/ei5gZyPb

Last month we released a new report in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University, “Widening Participation and Degree Apprenticeships”. The research looks at the extent to which degree apprenticeships are part of existing university outreach plans and tries to identify the barriers that might exist for including Degree Apprenticeships in Widening Participation activities. We commissioned the work because we wanted to understand whether Degree Apprenticeships are really expanding opportunities for higher level study to those from disadvantaged and underrepresented groups. https://lnkd.in/eTYgy4gW

As we wrap up #NAW2024, we’re proud to celebrate the growth of the apprenticeship movement in Indiana. In a recent report from Apprenticeships for America on how states are driving the expansion of apprenticeships, Indiana was listed as a top five state for proportion of apprentices in the labor force in 2024. We’re excited to continue progressing the apprenticeship movement and connecting workers with education and training opportunities that prepare them for in-demand careers. https://lnkd.in/ejBQCK5A

Reassuring to see Kaplan UK's very own Jenny Pelling at the forefront of the mission to keep L7 apprenticeship funding accessible for all people and businesses. You can read our impact report on Level 7 accounting apprenticeships by clicking below: https://lnkd.in/e-iHd-Eh The report demonstrates the unintended consequences should the L7 funding be removed and the impact it will have on both learners and the businesses that support them.
Refreshing to have time in Westminster yesterday with an MP who understands the benefit of all level apprenticeships for young people and businesses. Thank you Blake Stephenson MP for an excellent meeting where we discussed: - the Kaplan UK impact report on Level 7 accounting apprenticeships - how frustrating it is that Government is eager to cut the funding of Level 7 apprenticeships even when they align to the Government's own Industrial Strategy growth areas of professional and financial services and the skills employers need - the difference Level 7 apprenticeships make to social mobility. Looking forward to continuing our conversation on 10 February during National Apprenticeship Week #NAW2025

The importance of accessible education in shaping future accountants cannot be overstated. Let's hope that the Level 7 Apprenticeship Funding isn't removed. The scheme has funded up to 100% of the cost of the Apprenticeship, allowing thousands of young people to achieve their dreams of becoming fully qualified accountants under the ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, or CTA professional bodies. If this is removed, it could once again restrict careers in accountancy to those who can afford to attend university. Let's continue to support diverse pathways into accountancy for all aspiring professionals and hope that it is still here in September 🤞 #Apprenticeships #ACCA #ICAEW #CIMA #CTA #SocialMobility #Accountancy
