Attention: this is a must-read for any CPO active in Germany or planning to enter and scale in Europe's biggest EV market 🇩🇪⚡🔌 In this blog post, we dive into key regulations supporting EV infrastructure, like the 2019 TAR "Niederspannung" 🛠️ With the Technical Connection Rule for low voltage (VDE-AR-N 4100), the regulatory organ made an important development in the field of charging equipment for E-Mobility and energy storage. The regulation entails: - Network-supportive behaviour of charging devices, e.g. possibility for reactive power control - Connection conditions for switch and control cabinets, meter connection stations and telecommunications systems - Technical design for network connection layouts and meter panels housing measuring and control equipment. Discover how FLEXECHARE can help you to navigate the complexities of grid operators' control requirements and enhance the EV charging experience 📊🔧 🔗 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dT8_XFVF Or even better: drop by our booth at Power2Drive this week to discuss the topic and see the off-the-shelf solution that we have developed 🤝 #EVCharging #Sustainability #Innovation #GreenTransition #FLEXECHARGE #Power2Drive

“We would have probably needed an additional fleet half the size we have now to accomplish [these numbers] without the opportunity and wireless charging that we are doing,” says Archer. At InductEV, we've achieved the Holy Grail of in-transit operations by replacing diesel with battery electric buses (BEBs) in a 1 to 1 ratio. Agency managers have sought this solution for years, but it's often proven elusive due to outdated electrification architecture. However, we've accomplished just that at Link Transit in Wenatchee, WA, as detailed in this seven-year case study. See the details in the article below. https://lnkd.in/g8us35DF

Excellence through Innovation | B2B4C Critical Thinker & Executor | Sustainability Advocate | Operations & Supply Chain
We have seen how much talk and work done on converting away from ICEs. This read offers an interesting alternative view on the meaning of readiness! For the mandate of switching to EV trucks in Europe alone, 300k heavy duty charging points are needed by 2030, this is an ask of 30x increase in the next 5years - yes, there are only 10k of such points available today, and a whooping 7bil euros asap plus 0.5% of all of Europe's electrical grid. Not to mention planning the infrastructure as these points need to be distributed in support of the ranges of the trucks as well as accessibility. Massive task and data crunching prior to planning. Coupled with the need to include evolution of vehicle and battery design, driving behaviours and optimisation strategies. Despite being "EU", further inter-government collaboration would be crucial in making this a success. And just imagine if we went 100% electric (abolished ICEs) and the support infrastructure is not 110% ready, what would happen to the entire network and supply chain? #network #infrastructre #sustainability #supplychain
