Just published! Our continuing work in developing #sustainable polyurethane alternatives: non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) foams. In this work, published in European Polymer Journal, we explored how blowing agent structure and functionality affect the properties and #recycling performance of #biobased polyhydroxyurethane foams. For example, we observed that mechanical properties of the foams can be enhanced without significantly altering foam morphologies. Importantly, we also showed that the recycled foams can perform well as dimensionally stable NIPU #elastomers, exhibiting substantial resistance to creep deformation.
