An interesting read for anyone following the development of SAF; "Ground tests with 100% SAF produced from electricity and carbon dioxide by Dimensional Energy were conducted in February. Flight tests will be followed by endurance tests and a tear-down inspection of the propulsion system to check for any impacts from running on 100% SAF."

The transition between laminar and turbulent flow is crucial to understanding fluid behavior in many scenarios, such as eVTOL propellers and wind turbine blades. Formerly, this transition was challenging to simulate accurately. An extension to the PowerFLOW Very Large Eddy Simulation (VLES) method provides easier and more accurate simulation of laminar flow separation and reattachment. This allows both aerodynamic and aeroacoustic simulations for applications in rapidly growing markets including urban air mobility and wind energy.

Advanced Air Mobility Air and Ejected Gas Vs Recycled Solid Mass as a means of propulsion. When it comes to propulsion technologies there is a significant dependence on air and ejected gas with the most advanced propulsion tech leaning heavily on ion propulsion systems as the future of mobility. The idea that drones will one day fill the skies as taxis and rockets will blast off from launch pads into space as the next frontier may sound convincing (or sometimes laughable) only if an article or commentary on this kind of transportation has not done its due diligence and weighed this kind of propulsion technology against what C-Drives offer and propose to do in this space. While pundits in aerospace are talking hypersonic flight as their ultimate objective C-Drives which are looking much further ahead in theory view hypersonic flight, like dinosaurs, waiting for extinction. Why? A comprehensive assessment will show that a Recycled Solid Mass (such as that used by C-Drives) as a propulsion technology will outperform gas used in jets and rockets or air in quad copters, this will be the case no matter how far into the future an aerospace engineer looks whilst comparing these propulsion technologies. While gas and air technologies chase hypersonic speeds, a high density mass flow will relegate these to civilian use because they are far too slow to take seriously. While the discussion is about the distance a single charge can take a vehicle, e.g. a few hundred kilometers high density mass flows will study how to extend the range from a single charge to 300,000 to 500,000 kilometers and if it's hard to believe this kind of progress can be made, as the wise old saying goes, stick around and find out, the hard way. https://lnkd.in/djDzPgTY
